Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Macmillan Coffee Morning
Our Macmillan coffee morning is in full swing! Residents are loving the choice of sweet treats, huge thank you to those who made, donated and helped made this a great start to the day.
At the end of the day at Sherwood Court ,we raised £59 pounds for Macmillan ,so thank you, we can’t do it without you.
Happy 90th Birthday Barbara!
Here at Sherwood Court every day is special but for Barbara it's her 90th Birthday. All the family got together for a party with balloons and banners. The kitchen made a homemade cake, and all the staff made the day special by singing happy birthday, making Barbara feel happy and loved.
Happy Birthday Margaret!
Here at Sherwood Court we had another special lady's birthday, Margaret. She had a lovely day with a pamper in the morning, hair and nails, then a trip out to the Blackpool lights in the evening, reminiscing with a hot doughnut. We love to make memories, thanks to the hard work of all the staff that helped to make this happen!
Arts and Crafts with Olivia
This afternoon At Sherwood Court, we are joined by care practitioner-Darcy’s daughter Olivia, she has been a great help all around the home this afternoon a new face for fun and to chat to also she has the residents engaged in some arts and crafts fun lots of laugh’s and smiles.
A Little Shopping Trip
Today at Sherwood Court, we took some of our residents for a walk in the fresh air up to our local Asda, we was looking for gifts for one of our expecting carers and they loved looking around the baby clothes, we got back in time just for lunch then Abi paid a visit and sang some old tunes for us the sing along was amazing, and music brings so much joy.
Running for charitable foundation
Sherwood Court Head Chef, Gary Anson recently completed the Great North run to raise funds for Barchester s Charitable Foundation.
Gary completed the 13.1 mile half marathon course in 2 hours 4 minutes and 48 seconds on Sunday 10th of September despite the weather. Well done Gary for raising money for such a worthy cause!
