Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Sherwood Court Care Home
Carol service
What lovely evening we’ve been having at Sherwood court care home. A huge thank you to the lost and found choir, as well as the ST Anthony’s singers that have performed at the home for a number of years and are a favourite of all the residents. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful carols service singing along with family and friends.
We also had the pleaser of the Grace Notes for a Carol performance the same week. The home has been full of music and festivities, families joined in with the fun.
Golden Oldies Vairety Show
The Golden Oldies variety show at Sherwood Court went down a treat, with a special visit from Santa. A wonderful afternoon of music and dance for all our residents, families and friends. So many happy faces and questionable dance moves. Thanks to all the staff for turning the room around and taking part in the fun.
Elf Day at Sherwood Court
Elf Day at Sherwood Court was so much fun! Staff, residents and family all took part in the day by dressing up and playing games with lots of laughter. We raised £30 for Alzheimer’s society and had great fun doing it. We had a number of naughty Elf’s on the day too. Thanks to all that took part, what a team!
Christmas Fayre at Sherwood Court
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone that supported our first ever Christmas Fayre at Sherwood Court! It was a huge success and we raised an outstanding £634,65 for our residents fund.
A special thanks to SANTA for making it so magical for all the children, and to all the other volunteers who took the time out of their days to run the stalls and played a part in making such a wonderful event!
Thank you to everyone one that donate to the raffle and tombola it is greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas to you all!!
Christmas Party at Fulwood Academy
Sherwood Court has been out to Fulwood Academy for a Christmas party, all the staff and pupils worked very hard to lay on a wonderful afternoon for all the residents. We had a performance from the jingle jazz dance troop, Christmas carols from the wonderful choir and a visit from Santa were all the residents were given a gift. We had afternoon tea and mulled wine and it was fantastic to see the interaction between the pupils and residents. We had so much fun, thank you to all involved.
Happy Birthday Barbara and Jean
Today at Sherwood Court it is our lovely Barbara's birthday! Her room is full of cards and gifts and stunning flowers. Barbara spent the day being taken out and treated by her family.
We also celebrated Jeans Birthday today. Her family visited and we all had tea and cake staff sang happy birthday. Lyn and Emma worked their magic on the ladies' hair and Hayley did their makeup.
