Activities at Shawford Springs Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Hello, I am Joanne. I have worked as an activities coordinator for over seven years. In that time I have built a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience in designing and implementing activities that will support the mind, body and soul. I have a passion for delivering person centred sessions and will strive to ensure our weekly programme is engaging for all. I love organising events and am continually looking for ways to connect with our local community.

Winchester WI - The Kitchen Dancers - Community Crafting
We’d like to say a big thank you to the incredibly creative & talented ladies from the Kitchen Dancers WI group for donating a selection of their handmade decorations to the home. They are absolutely beautiful and we are thrilled to be able to showcase them on our tree!

Out and about - Festive Mini bus trip
Last week we took a trip to The Garden Society in Southampton. We admired their beautiful Christmas displays & enjoyed a round of drinks in the cafe.
Pottery Cafe - Getting Creative
What a wonderful morning we had at The Flourish Craft Studio in Romsey. It was an opportunity for us to embrace our inner artists as we painted a selection of pottery items including a reindeer ornament, bowl & star dish.
A special mention & thank you to Jo at Flourish for making us so welcome, we are very much looking forward to collecting our finished pieces once they have been glazed & fired.
Knit and Natter - The Christmas Tree is growing!
What a lovely time we had at our knit & natter club this week The green squares for our knitted Christmas tree are really coming along, so we should be ready to put it all together next week.
