Activities at Seaview House Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are exercise classes and a walking group, regular outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including local concerts, as well as weekly visits from a PAT dog, and regular visits from musicians and entertainers, as well as church services which are held twice a month. We also host a weekly social event in which we encourage residents from the whole home to socialise together.

Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Seaview is fun and active.

Christmas Crafting

Residents got very creative in Christmas Crafts and made beautiful Table Centre pieces. The ladies all saying we should make and sell them next year.

Photo Fun

Our Christmas Photo Session proved a huge success, with everyone loving the scene setter. One of our couples who live at Seaview, Mary & Jackie were delighted posing for their photo. Families have said “what a great idea” and many have requested a copy of the photos our Activities Coordinator had taken.

Theatre Presto at Seaview House

Residents enjoyed the return of Theatre Presto from Edinburgh after a 2 year absence. They returned with “Little Red Riding Hood”, everyone had so much fun!

Donkey Sanctuary

Across our services, Residents enjoyed a fantastic virtual tour of the Donkey Sanctuary Manchester.  Residents were thrilled to meet the lovely herd of donkeys, including Henry and his best friend Tiny Tim and to learn more about their every day care.  They were introduced to the sanctuary’s work and the impact they make to the lives of donkeys in need worldwide.  The virtual experience was truly enjoyed by all.
