My father-in-law Bruce has been at Seaview for the past 16 months. The nursing, care and kindness all the staff have have provided in this time has been excellent. He reached his 100th birthday in July and Gayle and the team made sure it was a special occasion for him. With Caz organising a full event programme it was certainly a very memorable day for Bruce. They topped it all off with a visit to the Mey Games where Bruce met the King and Queen.
None of this would have possible without the dedication given to his welfare by all the staff at Seaview over these past months. A special mention to Caz for going above and beyond to make his 100th an occasion for Bruce and family to enjoy and remember.

"Both mum and dad had to enter Seaview in January. What was a very stressful time for our family was made better by knowing that Gayle and her team would be looking after mum and dad. The staff and management really do care, it's genuine. For the families that makes us feel special and relieved that we know our loved one are being treated with love, respect and dignity. Mum was very ill and she was well looked after. The staff all loved dad. Tears were shed by all the staff when dad moved to a care home nearer our house. I know they meant it when they said they will miss him."

"As a daughter who was very unsure and reluctant to put my mum into care, I can't thank all the staff and management enough. From the first call, I received from the manager to arrive at the home for the first time to drop my mum off. The staff made this transition a lot more relaxed and easier for us both My mum settled in quickly with the help/care/consideration/support and enthusiasm of the all staff. I loved the buzz that was instant to see and feel in the day room supporting each resident as their needs were met. Staff showed great care and love towards them all. The daily activities were amazing to watch as the staff buzzed around both residents and visitors. The home environment was clean/modern/bright and homely, which I also felt helped me as I really didn't know what to expect from a care home setting. Thank you so much Seaview Nursing Home."

"My mum went into Seaview for a week's respite care while I was on holiday, initially, she was very apprehensive about going in as it was a new experience for her but she thoroughly enjoyed her experience she felt safe knowing that there was someone there for her 24 hours a day. She was delighted with her room, it was spotless, and the facilities offered while she was there. All the staff were excellent and nothing was a bother to them, the meals were lovely and she was impressed with the choices on offer. Although it made her realise that she's not yet ready for full-time care (she didn't like the idea of someone else doing her washing) she's hoping to be able to access respite care again."

"The staff are very compassionate and professional, they are always happy to help and the physical care is excellent. They provide proper adjustable beds with correct mattresses and all the furniture and surroundings are new and very bright and cheerful. The food is excellent and they can adapt the meals to suit different appetites. I am most grateful for the kindness shown to my father-in-law and I can recommend Seaview as a lovely place to stay for respite or longer-term care."

"I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care and attention by the manager and her staff to my brother. The staff are dedicated and treat all residents with dignity and respect. My brother has settled in well in the home and I know he feels safe, content and happy. There is a friendly atmosphere, the staff are always cheery and when I visit I am always greeted warmly by all staff. I have complete confidence in the care he receives and cannot thank the staff enough. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home."

"I was concerned when I reached the point where my wife had to enter the care home. The management helped set my mind at ease with their very welcoming approach. The carers have been great. They are very dedicated and treat all residents with dignity and respect. My wife has settled well in the home, is always happy and is enjoying her stay. The staff are all very upbeat, cheery and welcoming. There are lots of activities arranged for the residents. My husband was made to feel at home by the staff, and the manager came to see us not long after we arrived, which l felt was very kind and caring given her busy day; it made me feel important and not just a number."

"My husband has been a resident for over two and a half years, and in that time he has received exceptional care from a dedicated and professional care team. From the outset, the atmosphere in the home has been friendly, encouraging and entirely positive. All the staff contribute enormously to his wellbeing, and also make it a pleasure to visit, for myself. "The management and nursing teams provide a five star service for the care of the patients and I can only commend them highly for this. The food provided by the catering team is of a very high standard with my dad now gaining weight since his admission, he is brighter within himself and I see a big improvement in his wellbeing compared to when he was in hospital."

"My dad came into the care home in October 2022. He has settled in well. All the staff have made this easy for him as they are so professional and easy to work with. When I visit I am always made welcome by the manager and staff. They have lots of activities that my dad is encouraged to join in and I am very happy with the care he receives."

"What a lovely place for my father's respite. He was really worried about going for a few weeks respite but it was so good he was not keen to go home. He has dementia but commented continually how lovely the food was and also the staff who would always make time to chat with him. I would particularly like to thank the manager who I liaised with to help navigate through some issues we had, and who made time to sit and have coffee with my dad when he wanted a chat (she must be very busy). I felt so at home visiting and being able to wander around with Dad and go and make a cup of tea and sit with other residents or sit in his room. Lots of activities to keep him entertained also."

"My mother went into Seaview House Nursing Home in Nov 2022 where she has settled in extremely well. The staff are very friendly and exceptionally caring to the residents. There always seem to be plenty of activities taking place which my mother enjoys.The food is very good and I would say my mother is looking very healthy. I would give Seaview full marks and say they are doing an excellent job."
