Activities at Scarborough Hall Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Staff receive gift from local Co-op

The team at Scarborough Hall care home, in Scarborough recently enjoyed a hamper from one of their local community links, who have treated the team to a selection of goodies in thanks for all the hard work that Key Worker across the UK are doing during the pandemic. The team at the home have enjoyed the treats during break times and it meant such a lot as Keyworkers are very often not recognised for the work that they do on a daily basis.

Charlotte Nurse, General Manager at Scarborough Hall Care Home said: “In these unprecedented times, ensuring we keep connected with our local community is more important than ever and the hamper was gratefully received. The CO-OP used to regularly bring in their memory box which was filled with old reminisce items for the residents to enjoy. Unfortunately during Covid-19 they have been unable to continue doing this”
