Activities at Reigate Beaumont Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising and delivering a fun mix of activities and events chosen by the residents here at Reigate Beaumont. We work closely with the local community who get involved in all kinds of activities within the home. We enjoy all kinds of events which could be anything from trips out to local places of interest in our minibus or visits from entertainers and musicians, spending time in our beautiful gardens, or providing great activities for the mind body and soul. We liaise with local churches and regularly hold multi-congregational services at the home.
It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and invite them to our regular events. We also have a variety of volunteers who really enjoy spending time within the home too.

Each resident is unique and as an Activity Coordinator, I aim to create meaningful activities whereby residents can feel at home. From quizzes to games, stretch classes to flower arranging, reminiscing to enjoying our beautiful gardens. From musicians to Namaste sessions, outings, intergenerational and community involvement – a balanced activity program of body, mind and soul allows each resident to feel as if they have purpose and meaning in their lives. As well as sitting and having meaningful one to one engaged conversation or holding your loved ones hand – can allow a resident to feel that Reigate Beaumont is their home. With a background as a Healthcare Assistant, we are taught to provide person centred care. This has helped me to provide person centred activities.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Reigate Beaumont Care Home
Nutrition & Hydration Week
We kicked this week off with delicious food, which was produced by our award-winning Head Chef. Scones, cupcakes and mousses were just the start...
Later in the week, we enjoyed a selection of cakes and sandwiches and washed them down with some healthy smoothies.
We also indulged in some freshly-made fruit cordials. There was raspberry, mint and melon flavours to choose from.
Time for a Cuppa
On Friday 2nd March, we hosted a fundraising event for Dementia UK at Reigate Beaumont. We had a book sale, alongside tea, coffee and a selection of cakes and biscuits, which were enjoyed by residents and visitors. The event was a success and we managed to raise some much-needed funds for the charity.
Birthday Cheer
A lovely resident recently celebrated her birthday in the company of the wonderful staff here at Reigate and got to enjoy some delicious, homemade birthday cake.
Minibus Outing
We enjoyed a trip to the Squires Garden Centre in Reigate for our latest minibus trip. Plants were viewed and tea, coffee and cakes were eaten – and, best of all, happy memories were made!
The Pianist
Steve Robbins the pianist came to visit our home again on Monday 12th February, much to the residents’ delight. He performed some of their favourites and made use of our magnificent grand piano in the main lounge, which is the legacy of a former resident, who very kindly left it to the home.
The Flowers of Youth
Residents are always keen to take part in our regular flower arranging session. In our most recent session, the predominant flowers were red roses, which we chose to fit in with the Valentine’s Day theme. Residents showed off their skills and their final arrangements will bring them many more days of joy, as they will be displayed in their rooms.
