Activities at Reigate Beaumont Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising and delivering a fun mix of activities and events chosen by the residents here at Reigate Beaumont. We work closely with the local community who get involved in all kinds of activities within the home. We enjoy all kinds of events which could be anything from trips out to local places of interest in our minibus or visits from entertainers and musicians, spending time in our beautiful gardens, or providing great activities for the mind body and soul. We liaise with local churches and regularly hold multi-congregational services at the home.

It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and invite them to our regular events. We also have a variety of volunteers who really enjoy spending time within the home too.

Life at Reigate Beaumont Care Home

Local School Engagement

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful scholars from Micklefield school. Your fantastic assistance in making and designing cushions for our residents was truly appreciated!
From crafting beautiful designs to delivering them with bright smiles, your kindness and creativity have made a significant impact in the lives of our residents and community.

VE Day celebrations

We paid tribute to history through heartfelt poetry, singalongs and a special toast to victory.

In the afternoon, our wonderful opera singer, Demelza, enchanted us with national anthems and classical favourites, followed by St Marys Choir with 25 brilliant singers filling the air with beautiful tones.

Our fun, silent, sensory disco

Our residents had an amazing time at our armchair disco. The afternoon was surrounded by colourful sensory items and floating bubbles. Everyone had individual headphones with fun, engaging music.

It was a magical time for our residents and staff filled with laughter and great singing voices.

Passion for our gardens

Every day, Tony dedicates his time and energy to caring for our beautiful flowers and plants. After breakfast, you can find him watering and cultivating our gardens, ensuring they thrive and enhance the beauty of our community. His commitment to creating vibrant greenery not only significantly enriches our environment. Tony goes beyond just gardening. He actively engages with residents and shares his passion.

While joining our meetings, he brings valuable insights and ideas to the table, fostering a spirit of collaboration amongst us. His willingness to listen and share encourages others to get involved and take pride in our spaces. Tony takes great pride in his role as a Garden Ambassador.

He views this position not just as a responsibility but as a way to connect with our residents, nurture friendships and create enthusiasm is infectious, inspiring others to appreciate and care for the gardens.

Fashion Show Fun

Reigate Beaumont recently transformed into a runway for a fabulous fashion show featuring residents and staff.

The event was a resounding success, with residents donning stylish outfits and accessories.

Applause filled the air as each participant strutted down the runway, showcasing their unique flair. Tea and cakes followed, turning this stylish affair into a cherished memory.

Ginger Biscuits Galore

Christmas creativity was on display as residents took part in our ginger biscuit decorating session.

Guided by the activities team, residents turned plain biscuits into edible works of art with icing and festive sprinkles.

Joan said, “I haven’t done this since my children when we were young!”

It was a delightful afternoon filled with smiles, conversation, and the comforting aroma of freshly baked biscuits.
