Meet our Activities Coordinator, Tina Green
I am dedicated to offering residents a range of games and activities throughout the day, for those who wish to take part as well as those who may need a little encouragement. I also take the residents out on regular trips on our minibus. I love people, so working with residents gives me great joy and is lots of fun - it is the most rewarding job I have ever had.
Activities at Reigate Beaumont
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising and delivering a fun mix of activities and events chosen by the residents here at Reigate Beaumont. We work closely with the local community who get involved in all kinds of activities within the home. We enjoy all kinds of events which could be anything from trips out to local places of interest in our minibus or visits from entertainers and musicians, spending time in our beautiful gardens, or providing great activities for the mind body and soul. We liaise with local churches and regularly hold multi-congregational services at the home.
It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and invite them to our regular events. We also have a variety of volunteers who really enjoy spending time within the home too.
Life at our home
We set up our very own Christmas shop here at Reigate so that residents could choose some lovely cards and gifts for their friends and families.
Residents enjoyed making some decorations during the lead up to Christmas.
After decorating the home for the day, residents honoured Armistice Day with celebrations. They were listening to wartime music, dancing to it and enjoying a glass if sherry before lunch.
Great British Care Awards
Congratulations to our General Manager, Victoria, who was presented with the Front Line Staff Award at the Great British Care Awards; and to our Head Chef, Roman, who was named as a finalist.
Residents really enjoyed a silent disco here at Reigate Beaumont.
Residents and guests enjoyed live music on the terrace, watching our first ever dog show, a delicious BBQ, ice cream, a tombola, stalls and much more. It was a splendid day with beautiful weather and lots of fun was to be had by all.
