I have been a part of the team at Reigate since 2014. I'm the Head Housekeeper, and my role involves ensuring the home stays clean and tidy for residents and staff.
I enjoy my job because it enables me to work within a great team, and friendly environment and it allows me to get to know how the residents like their rooms to be looked after.
As part of my day-to-day role, I always make sure I make time for a chat with the residents.
This is Reigate Beaumont's catering team!
Here are some of our housekeeping team, who work hard to keep our lovely home looking spotless.
April qualified from the University of the West of England in 2008, before starting her Junior rotations at East Surrey Hospital. She continued her Junior rotations at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust between 2008 and 2011. April re-joined East Surrey Hospital, taking on the role of Senior Physiotherapist within the Acute Medical Team, in 2013. In 2015 April was promoted to Highly Specialised Physiotherapist with a special interest in the care of Older people. April left the NHS to take up a new role within SB Physiotherapy and continues to have a keen interest in patients rehabilitation of older patient and Pilates.
I was initially approached to run the salon at Reigate back in 2012 on a temporary basis. Several years on, I’m still here, on a permanent basis, and I truly love my job. I offer hairdressing and manicure services to all residents on a regular or ‘as required’ basis. Both the residents and I look forward to our appointments and it’s often the highlight of their week. We always have lots to chat about and plenty of laughs. I class them more as friends than clients. The job satisfaction in this role is amazing. Seeing residents leave the salon looking glamorous, and with a smile on their faces is priceless.
