Activities at Raleigh Manor Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Raleigh Manor Care Home

RNLI Visit an Eyeopener

Our information based outings are always a winner with our residents. The local institution of the RNLI Exmouth was no exception. We were treated to a full tour of the facilities.

What an incredible operation we can all be very proud and very grateful for.

Raleigh Manor Ready to Race

Inspired by their recent Royal Ascot racing activity, local care home Raleigh Manor decided they wanted to have their own stable of horses for future racing events.

The Men’s Shed Exmouth who are just up the road from Raleigh Manor were commissioned to create the homes new steeds. Peter from the Men’s Shed delivered the horses to the home where the residents will now be tasked to paint them.

Resident Meets Lifetime Heros

Resident, Kenneth Brookshaw, at Exmouth Care Home, Raleigh Manor has been a life long supporter of what was his local football team, Plymouth Argyle. When chatting to a staff member recently, he mentioned how much his he loved his life in Plymouth and what is local team meant to him. So, the staff at the home decided to organise a special event for Ken, getting to meet the Plymouth Argyle team in person - proving the old adage, it’s never too late.
