Activities at Raleigh Manor Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Frankie Sidwick

Activities Lead

Frankie has been in care since 2011. Her career began in a nursing home, then she moved to young adults with learning difficulties, and finally went on to a home that specialised in mental health. Frankie now brings this wealth of knowledge into her activities role here at Raleigh Manor.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Raleigh Manor Care Home

Greendale Here We Come

With the warmer weather back, the minibus has been busy again. One of our favourite outings is the local Greendale Farm Shop. Time to pull out the sun hats and enjoy a bit of farm life.

A Wish Brought to Life

When we asked our residents what they had always wished to do, one said to visit the National Aquarium in Plymouth. So that is exactly what we did. And what a fantastic time he had. It is a great pleasure to be able to do this for our residents.

Celebrating 64 Years

We believe in making sure those very special moments in life are celebrated. 64 years of marriage is definitely one of those very special moments. Congratulations to Gordon and Margaret. A very Happy Anniversary to you.

Entertaining Shanty Men

This greatly anticipated event lived up to expectations. The Exmouth Shanty Men came to entertain us and they we fantastic. They delivered an engaging show with audience participation and time to get together and chat as well. No rum this time but plenty of tea and cake.

Intergenerational Easter Bunny Hunt

Our annual Easter Bunny Hunt with the Chunky Chowns Child Care group was a great occassion again. We hid Bunny's and treats around the home for the residents and children to find together. A joyous event for everyone.

Book Buying in Sidmouth

What a lovely time we had visiting Sidmouth today. Some of our residents wanted to visit a book shop, so we decided to pay Winstone's bookshop a little visit. and of course stopped for coffee and cake. Another great trip chosen by the residents here at Raleigh Manor.
