Activities at Paternoster House Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Hello, my name is Cathy and I'm the activities coordinator for Paternoster House. Living life to the full is my motto, and I wish to instill this in all our residents, whatever your ability there is something new to learn or try. Life is for enriching and enjoyment.

Life at Paternoster House Care Home
Pamper and Relaxation
This morning some of our lovely residents enjoyed a well deserved relaxing foot spa treatment, with relaxation sounds and a lovely scent of jasmine from our salons diffuser. Some residents were just happy to visit our weekly hairdresser.
Each resident said “that was so lovely and relaxing” and gave it a thumbs up!
VE Day Celebrations in Full Swing
We had Dennis; One Man Stand performing for our residents, family and friends. There was no stopping them once they were up and dancing!
Cooling Down and Planting Fun
Over the last couple of days our residents have been working hard and enjoying the lovely sun shine in our woodlands courtyard.
They’ve been planting more seeds and hanging some new garden decorations.
Time to cool down after all there hard work by soaking there feet in there pool of cool water and some light refreshments, what a cool way to relax on a day like today.
Fun times at Church
Today a few of our ladies went to 3Food4U Social Club at Waltham Abbey Baptist Church.
They had such a wonderful time, Pat had a fabulous time dancing with everyone, gaining the attention of 'Frank Sinatra' the guest performer. We all agreed; Gareth Jenkins performance was brilliant!
Barbara won bingo and got a lovely prize and Dot enjoyed meeting and making new friends as well as dancing.
Enjoying Beautiful Blooms
Today our residents had a blooming good time creating their very own flower arrangements.
They enjoyed it so much, they even asked to do it again tomorrow!

Happy St George’s Day
Today’s celebration for St George’s Day we got the flags out and got our residents thinking with a St Georges Day picture quiz. They all done very well.
Only a couple of residents were brave enough to go outside in the blistery wind for a photo opportunity with the bunting.

Community Coffee Mornings
Come along and meet new people while enjoying a chat over a hot drink and a selection of sweet treats every Friday from 10am-12 noon.
