Activities at Oulton Park Care Home
We have a wonderful team here at Oulton Park and we all work together to provide a stimulating, active environment for our residents that live here. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for our residents to be part of here, and our activities coordinator works very hard on planning and providing a stimulating busy schedule of activities, as well as assisting the residents with their daily living preferences. We have regular meetings with our families and residents to make sure we are providing things to suit their preferences. We as a home are registered with the National Activity Providers Association and strive to provide a person-centred approach for our residents here.
Louise Hunter-Hall
Hello my name is Louise, I am the life enrichment and activities coordinator at Oulton park care centre.
I joined Oulton Park late 2023 but I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and I have a compassion for my role and work. During the 20years I have supported many different adults with different care needs including, nursing care, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, independent living and 1:1 needs. I have both my level 2&3 in care and level 2 in sign language.
At Oulton my role is to create and organise a range of engaging and meaningful activities. My role brings me a great deal of comfort and joy.
If I can just make 1 persons life better during my working day at Oulton Park then the day has been a success. I feel honoured, fortunate and blessed to do the job I do.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Oulton Park Care Home
Elvis Christmas Show
Today had the lovely Elvis and Ken Dalton performing to get us into the Christmas spirit. We also enjoyed some home made treats made by our talented Chefs followed by a glass of Baileys of course!! What a great day we all shared!
Spreading the festive cheer with our community friends
Our Home Administrator Gemma and Customer Relationship Manager Dan went out to meet the local community and spread the Christmas cheer at Tesco Great Yarmouth. Needless to say the Chocolates did not last long and everyone was in a great festive mood!
Christmas Baking Club
Our residents have been busy baking Chocolate Rice Crispie Cakes, decorating their own Christmas Cake - accompanied by a glass of Sherry of course!
Christmas Fayre
Staff and residents at Oulton Park Care Centre have been getting into the festive spirit by throwing open the home’s doors to the local community to enjoy the home’s first post pandemic Christmas extravaganza.
General Manager Sarah Wright said, “This special event has been such a long time coming after all everyone has been through the last few years and it has been so good to be getting back to a ‘normal’ festive season. We’ve certainly missed it!”
The day included a variety of festive stalls, plenty of delicious food, a Santa’s Grotto, entertainment from Darrin Sings, the local Brownies and a Prize Raffle too - including a Family Ticket to the Nutcracker at the Seagull Theatre.
Doreen, a resident at Oulton Park added, “What a day - we all had a great time together with our families and it was lovely to be able to welcome so many of our friends from the community too!”
Festive Wreath and Craft Session
Our residents have been getting into the Christmas spirit by making Christmas Wreath and Baubles too! They have also been busy helping us decorate the home whilst enjoying Christmas songs - with a glass of Sherry or two of course!
AGE UK Norfolk Community visit to Oulton Park
Our General Manager - Sarah and Customer Relationship Manager Dan were absolutely delighted to welcome Emma and Lucy from Age UK Norfolk to our Relatives and Community Friends Meeting here at Oulton Park Care Centre to speak about some of the services available including: Befriending and Digital Inclusion too!
