Activities at Oulton Park Care Home
We have a wonderful team here at Oulton Park and we all work together to provide a stimulating, active environment for our residents that live here. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for our residents to be part of here, and our activities coordinator works very hard on planning and providing a stimulating busy schedule of activities, as well as assisting the residents with their daily living preferences. We have regular meetings with our families and residents to make sure we are providing things to suit their preferences. We as a home are registered with the National Activity Providers Association and strive to provide a person-centred approach for our residents here.
Louise Hunter-Hall
Hello my name is Louise, I am the life enrichment and activities coordinator at Oulton park care centre.
I joined Oulton Park late 2023 but I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and I have a compassion for my role and work. During the 20years I have supported many different adults with different care needs including, nursing care, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, independent living and 1:1 needs. I have both my level 2&3 in care and level 2 in sign language.
At Oulton my role is to create and organise a range of engaging and meaningful activities. My role brings me a great deal of comfort and joy.
If I can just make 1 persons life better during my working day at Oulton Park then the day has been a success. I feel honoured, fortunate and blessed to do the job I do.

Life at Oulton Park Care Home
Christmas Day
Our residents and staff here at Oulton Park would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. The residents have had a great day - unwrapping their presents and playing some festive party games with some bubbles of course! Followed by a delicious Christmas Dinner cooked by our marvelous Chef team - a great day shared by all!
Festive Pamper Session
Here at Oulton Park this Christmas Eve our residents have enjoyed a festive Pamper session - hair & nails ready for the big day and the bubbles were in full flow too! Merry Christmas Eve to you all from us all here at Oulton Park!
Happy Birthday Angela
We would just like to wish our lovely Angela Williams a very Happy 60th Birthday! We hope that you have a great day and thank you for all that you do from all of the team here at Oulton Park Care Centre!
Svelta's Christmas Show and No Mask wearing celebration
Life really is one big Christmas party here at Oulton Park Care Centre right now. Our residents have had lots of fun today including festive games and a variety of Arts & Crafts too!
We have also had the lovely Svelta come to entertain this afternoon with lots of bubbles to celebrate the fact that (following extensive risk assessments)our team are no longer required to wear Face Masks following updated Government guidance.
* However, Face Masks will continue to be worn by staff when:
• A person receiving care is suspected or confirmed as having the virus.
• A staff member has been in contact with someone with the virus.
• There is an outbreak of the virus at the home.
* Masks may also be worn when a resident receiving care requests a staff member to do so. Whilst some of our staff choose to continue to wear a Face Mask and we fully support their choice.
Baking and enjoying Yule Logs
Our residents have been busy here at Oulton Park getting into the festive chocolatey spirit by creating their very own Yule Logs with some Christmas music too! A lot of love went into making these beautiful Yule Logs and we all enjoyed tasting them too - Delicious!
Oulton Broad Primary School Christmas Concert
Our residents were invited along to St Michael's Church to watch Oulton Broad Primary School perform their Christmas concert. They gave a spectacular performance and we are so very thankful for being invited. Thanks again to St Michael's Church and Oulton Broad Primary School - it was such a lovely afternoon!
