Activities at Oulton Park Care Home
We have a wonderful team here at Oulton Park and we all work together to provide a stimulating, active environment for our residents that live here. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for our residents to be part of here, and our activities coordinator works very hard on planning and providing a stimulating busy schedule of activities, as well as assisting the residents with their daily living preferences. We have regular meetings with our families and residents to make sure we are providing things to suit their preferences. We as a home are registered with the National Activity Providers Association and strive to provide a person-centred approach for our residents here.
Louise Hunter-Hall
Hello my name is Louise, I am the life enrichment and activities coordinator at Oulton park care centre.
I joined Oulton Park late 2023 but I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and I have a compassion for my role and work. During the 20years I have supported many different adults with different care needs including, nursing care, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, independent living and 1:1 needs. I have both my level 2&3 in care and level 2 in sign language.
At Oulton my role is to create and organise a range of engaging and meaningful activities. My role brings me a great deal of comfort and joy.
If I can just make 1 persons life better during my working day at Oulton Park then the day has been a success. I feel honoured, fortunate and blessed to do the job I do.

The Green Leaf Standard
Our Maintenance Manager, Peter Davies has achieved a 'very good' rating for our home's environmental performance. Well done, Pete!
Quiz Afternoon
Everyone enjoyed a quiz about Alex's wartime slideshow presentation on comedians, singers and film stars! Everyone loved having a sing and dance along to some old favourites and particularly liked the old cockney rhyming slang!
Around the World
Residents enjoyed travelling through the countries this afternoon and having a sing, dance and clap along with Svelta, who sang in several different languages. We had a mix of nationalities participating, including Italian, Polish, English and French, so it was thoroughly enjoyed by all! Everyone especially loved shaking their maracas.
Ashley School Choir
Residents enjoyed a performance from Ashley's School Choir yesterday afternoon; everyone had a sing, dance and clap along to some old favourites. All had smiles on their faces throughout, so it was definitely an enjoyable afternoon.
Open Day at Oulton
Residents enjoyed Care Home Open Day - everyone dressed up in outfits to celebrate the year they were born. We played their favourite childhood games in the morning, such as pass-the-parcel, pin the tail on the donkey and even held our own game of guess-the-baby picture! In the afternoon, everyone loved getting up to sing, dance and clap along to some traditional Morris dancers, while enjoying high tea and cakes! Everyone commented on what a great day it was.
The Queen's Official Birthday
Residents enjoyed celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday with an afternoon high tea garden party that included entertainment from Sarah, who managed to get all of us up dancing, singing and clapping along. Everyone had a fantastic afternoon and we all felt very patriotic - even if we were full of cake, beer and wine! We all reminisced by sharing stories together with our very own World War 2 veteran - and had a good laugh together!
