Activities at Oulton Park Care Home
We have a wonderful team here at Oulton Park and we all work together to provide a stimulating, active environment for our residents that live here. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for our residents to be part of here, and our activities coordinator works very hard on planning and providing a stimulating busy schedule of activities, as well as assisting the residents with their daily living preferences. We have regular meetings with our families and residents to make sure we are providing things to suit their preferences. We as a home are registered with the National Activity Providers Association and strive to provide a person-centred approach for our residents here.
Louise Hunter-Hall
Hello my name is Louise, I am the life enrichment and activities coordinator at Oulton park care centre.
I joined Oulton Park late 2023 but I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and I have a compassion for my role and work. During the 20years I have supported many different adults with different care needs including, nursing care, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, independent living and 1:1 needs. I have both my level 2&3 in care and level 2 in sign language.
At Oulton my role is to create and organise a range of engaging and meaningful activities. My role brings me a great deal of comfort and joy.
If I can just make 1 persons life better during my working day at Oulton Park then the day has been a success. I feel honoured, fortunate and blessed to do the job I do.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Oulton Park Care Home
VE Day Celebrations
We celebrated VE Day in style at Oulton Park Care Centre - we dressed the home in flags and war time memorabilia, the residents then enjoyed listening to some classic songs including the lovely Vera Lynn! Everybody had a lovely day celebrating and reminiscing together.
Thank you Dominos!
Thank you to Dominos in Lowestoft who very kindly donated lots of pizza for the staff at Oulton Park for the work they are doing at the moment. It was such a lovely surprise!
International Nurses Day - Thank You!
Manager, Pete said thank you to all of the nurses who work at Oulton Park by gifting them with flowers and boxes of chocolates! Everybody works so hard, particularly at the moment, so it is so important to say a big thank you this International Nurses Day!
Cake Delivery!
We were so lucky here at Oulton Park to receive lots of cupcakes as a thank you from the local community. The cakes have been shared among the residents and staff and have really brightened spirits!
Gardening Club
We are thankful for the good weather we have had recently, our gardening club have been enjoying getting some plants ready to go outside!
Hallway Bingo!
Our residents have been playing Bingo in the hallway just outside of their rooms to ensure that they abide by the social distancing rules in place at the moment. These ladies love their regular game of bingo and were very appreciative that they were still able to take part!
