Activities at Orchard House Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

The Sound of Music

The Sound of Music

Bob Mulligan came to sing and play his guitar for everyone who wanted to come and join in. Residents loved singing along to the music whilst they all enjoyed a hot cuppa and slice of cake.

,

Hoopla

We played Hoopla, which improves motivation, physical dexterity and fine motor skills. This is a fun way of keeping us active and, as you can see from the pictures esidents appeared to have enjoyed the morning.

,

Cupcake Baking

We enjoyed baking cupcakes, which we then let cool during lunch. Once everybody had finished and was ready to carry on, we then had fun decorating our creations/ The best part was getting to eat the final result and sharing them with the rest of the home.

Keeping Fit

Keeping Fit

Residents joined Suki for her fun Keep Fit class. Suki gets residents motivated to improve their physical dexterity and fine motor skills, as well as stimulating social communication within a group. As you can see from the pictures, the residents enjoyed joining in and had lots of fun.
