Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson
Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.
I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.
When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Moors Manor Care Home

Our sponsored cycle raised £420 for Dementia Action Group
Staff and residents at the home got stuck in to help raise funds for this very important cause, Dementia Action Group. Our static cycle began at 5.00am and staff members, relatives, and local professional Olivia Singer, from Lester Aldridge Solicitors all took turns to cycle the 88 miles to London. Residents also joined in using the seated pedals and achieved a fair few miles between them. Moors Manor actually smashed their target and cycled 107 miles in total. Moors Manor care home raised a grand total of £420.00 by completing the challenge, which was presented to Lynne Morris from Dementia Action Group in the form of a large cheque. Lynne said “Dementia Action Group are absolutely thrilled and very grateful for the funds so desperately needed within the local community”.
