Activities at Kingsland House Care Home

Kingsland House have a variety of activities that our residents help us choose. Celebrating Life in our home is jovial and fun and from our weekly delivered activity sheet, our residents can chose exactly what they want to join in with.

Our activities range from exercise classes, gardening, arts and crafts, games to food-fun clubs. We also offer our in house church services, our own home cinema, our mobile pub - The Kingsland Tavern, visiting Pat Dogs, musical entertainers, minibus outings, theme days and birthday celebrations. For those residents being nursed in their rooms we have one to one activities sessions.

At Kingsland House we believe that activities are hugely important to stimulate and uplift, and getting to know our residents interests and lifestyle choices assist our activities team in creating events and activities to suit their expressed wishes and capabilities. We also encourage our residents' families and friends to join in with as much as they can to make Kingsland House a loving family atmosphere.

International Nurses Day

We took the time to acknowledge and thank our very hard working nurses here at Kingsland House by presenting them with gifts and cakes.

Preparing Our Summer Garden

We all had a wonderful sunny day in our gardens recently as we welcomed three volunteers here from American Express.  We all worked really hard to tidy the gardens ready for the Summer and had really good fun at the same time.

Gardening Club

Now that we can feel some warmer weather we have started up our Gardening Club so we can make the outside areas pretty again with flowers.

Easter

Here at Kingsland House residents were surprised when ‘bunny & Chicken’ were seen around the home, hiding Easter Eggs. Lots of fun was had when the Easter Egg hunt began !

,

Queen's Birthday

The china was out today as we celebrated our Queen’s 96th birthday. She even came and paid us a visit, the residents really enjoyed their afternoon tea.

Therapy Dogs Visit

Thank you so much to Therapy Dogs Nationwide for letting Kelly Norton and her beautiful dog Charlie come and visit us this afternoon. Charlie was a star and visited almost every resident. Kelly assured us they will be back on a regular basis, we look forward to seeing them soon.
