Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators will bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hello, I'm Natalie, and for nearly five enriching years, I've dedicated myself to the role of an activity coordinator. My passion lies in understanding the unique interests of each individual under our care. At Iris Court, I strive to craft activities tailored to the preferences of our residents, ensuring no one ever feels socially isolated. Whether someone wants to participate minimally or fully immerse themselves, my goal remains constant: fostering a sense of community and joy in every moment.

Life at Iris Court Care Home
Oktoberfest at Iris Court!
Iris Court had a fantastic afternoon hosting their Oktoberfest this afternoon!.
It was fantastic to see everyone together enjoying some traditional German food and Beer!.
Whilst fully enjoying the Oktoberfest spirit with lots of dancing, music and accessories for the afternoon!
National celebrations like Oktoberfest and more family-friendly events are just some of the ways at Iris Court that we ensure the residents at remain connected with their loved ones and the wider community whilst still doing the things they love!
Somethin Else performance at Iris Court!
Iris Court had a fantastic afternoon welcoming Somethin Else in to perform their Rocktober show for our residents and families at Iris Court, its always a special occasion when we can invite our residents families and friends into the home to share these moments with us and help create some lasting memories.
The performance had captured everyone with lots of laughter and singing, including our staff members at Iris Court showing off there moves for the best guitar solo!.
One of the cornerstones of our life enrichment program is live musical entertainment. Resident involvement in choosing genres along with feedback after each performance means that we are able to constantly improve our activities calendar and ensure we have activities planned that our residents and family enjoy.
Mocktails and Safari Animal Visit
Iris Court Cheered up a very dreary Tuesday morning by enjoying some delicious mocktails by our fantastic Host Jack!, whilst we enjoyed a visit of some Safari Animals visiting us at Iris Court.
The morning was brilliant learning about our different visitors and seeing who of us was brave enough to hold the tarantula and snake!.
Our Residents at Iris Court love the animal therapy sessions that our dedicated Activities Team organises monthly. As one of the foundations of our Life Enrichment program, we know that animal therapy can help reduce blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Iris Court held our Macmillan coffee morning helping to raise awareness and support for those living with cancer. Macmillan cancer support is a charity close to our heart with now over three million people living with cancer in the UK, Macmillan's support is vital to those who have been diagnosed, throughout treatment and beyond. Our residents at Iris Court had helped support by baking some delicious goodies for the morning, It was lovely to see everyone who came in to support and joined us for the morning.
Hosting events for friends and family members to join us at Iris Court an essential part of our activities program and we are always looking for new ideas to bring the wider community into our home.
Knit & Natter Club
Septembers Employee of the Month Winner!
Csaba our Maintenance Manager at Iris Court has been announced as Septembers employee of the month for Iris Court.
A huge congratulations to Csaba for this award with some amazing comments for Csaba's win with an extremely valued member of staff, with leading by example and lending his hand to our whole home approach and supporting his colleagues, whilst going over and above with his own duties for Iris Court.
At Iris Court it is great to be able to see the hard working staff being recognised for there continued support and the difference there presence makes to a day.

Share stories and experiences with fellow retired nurses, we love to see uniforms or mementos whilst refreshments will be provided.
Iris Courts Summer Bash
Pop in from 11am to view our home and garden games. From 1:30 Join us to enjoy traditional seaside refreshments & Sadie perform the All Aboard Virtual Cruise Show.
Ladies Who Latte
Come alone or join us with a friend to join us for a light lunch, build friendships and enjoy some time at Iris Court
Iris Court Tot's Club
Join us for the morning for our monthly baby and toddler group, we will have Paw Patrol in attendance, soft play and toys, whilst light refreshments will be provided.
Carers Cafe
Come along and meet with friends over light refreshments and enjoy the mornings entertainment or hear from various guest speakers.
