Activities at Iris Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators will bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Celebrating life at Iris Court Care Home
Easter Joy With The Food Shed Donation
Staff, residents and families have come together this Easter to support local families by donating Easter Eggs to The Food Shed Stevenage. Helping to ensure children in the community can enjoy a special treat during the holiday season.
During our visit residents and staff spent time with the food shed team gaining a first – hand understanding of the organisations daily work, dedication and growing demand for community support. The experience provided our residents with a meaningful opportunity to connect with local volunteers and see how donations directly help those in need.
As a home with our wonderful residents , families and team we are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities and we wanted to do something kind this easter and being able to put a smile on a child’s face means so much to everyone here. It was incredibly rewarding to meet the food shed team and witness the incredible work they do every day for our community and we again as a home are thanking everyone who supported with their donations.
Residents celebrate inspiring women for International Women's Day

The afternoon was extra special thanks two welcome our community members in from Crossroads Charity, Herts independent Living and community member Zoe in for the afternoon, joining the celebration and hearing stories from our residents and their achievements.
It was a wonderful way to honour International Women's Day - bringing people together to celebrate, learn from one another and appreciate the incredible women who inspire us everyday.
