Activities at Iris Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators will bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Celebrating life at Iris Court Care Home
Iris Court Residents Grow Own Vegetables
Our residents at Iris Court care home are thrilled with their home-grown vegetables. The gardens and green house are a much-loved part of Iris Court, and this has led to many residents coming together to continue lifelong hobbies, whilst sharing and supporting each other with new skills. Our residents at Iris Court have managed to grow some beautiful plants displayed in the homes garden for all residents to enjoy, as well as their own homegrown tomatoes which are proudly used by the Chefs at Iris Court in their meal preparations and enjoyed by all the team and residents.
Tony, a resident of Iris Court added: “I’ve always loved gardening so it is fantastic to be able to keep that hobby going, I find it really therapeutic to be outside in the fresh air and to be able to grow my favourite flowers and vegetables. It’s so lovely to see all the beautiful blooms, and to be able to share this with the staff and residents here.”

With this beautiful weather, we haven't wanted to miss a minute of being outside enjoying our surroundings.
With Fairlands Valley park being on our doorstep we decided to take our minibus out for the morning, and go for a wonderful walk down the lake, whilst enjoying the simple things in life such as feeding the ducks, and enjoying a well deserved break with plenty of refreshing drinks and snacks to take along in case we got hungry on our travels.
