Activities at Iris Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators will bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hello, I'm Natalie, and for nearly five enriching years, I've dedicated myself to the role of an activity coordinator. My passion lies in understanding the unique interests of each individual under our care. At Iris Court, I strive to craft activities tailored to the preferences of our residents, ensuring no one ever feels socially isolated. Whether someone wants to participate minimally or fully immerse themselves, my goal remains constant: fostering a sense of community and joy in every moment.

5 Star Food safety and Hygiene Rating
Iris Court have had an exciting week so far with hitting the perfect 10's club on carehome.co.uk and now being awarded our 5 star Food safety and Hygiene rating from North Hertfordshhire Council. A huge thank you to our hard working team allowing this to happen, everyone is delighted!

Staff and residents are delighted to reach their goal of a perfect overall score of 10 on the independent care home review website, carehome.co.uk.
Carehome.co.uk is often one of the first places people will look when searching for a care home for a loved one. It is independently run to ensure that all reviews are vetted and come from people who have genuine experience of the homes that they are reviewing.

July's employee of the month
Trudi our business admin at Iris Court has been announced as Julys employee of the month for Iris Court.A massive congratulations to Trudi for this award with some amazing comments for Trudi's win with being the outstanding support she offers all staff and residents here, her love of laughter and not forgetting the fact of Trudi always willing to go over and above for anyone at Iris Court!.
Yoga with Terri
Iris Court know the importance of regular exercise, which is why it is a focus here to keep Iris Court moving.
We had a fabulous visit from Terri at Middleway Wellness delivering her yoga class to us here. The Yoga class is a fantastic one for the movements being able to be amended to each individuals physical abilities ensuring everyone can participate and be as involved as they wish to, whilst still providing a great form of exercise.
Babu's Birthday Celebrations
Staff and Residents celebrated a special birthday for our General Manager Babu this week, it was lovely celebrating with new friends and showing our appreciation for Babu on his special day, as well an enjoying a delicious cake!.
Iris Court Open Day
Iris Court had a fabulous day celebrating our open day with our amazing residents/ families and community visiting us for the day.

Share stories and experiences with fellow retired nurses, we love to see uniforms or mementos whilst refreshments will be provided.
Iris Courts Summer Bash
Pop in from 11am to view our home and garden games. From 1:30 Join us to enjoy traditional seaside refreshments & Sadie perform the All Aboard Virtual Cruise Show.
Ladies Who Latte
Come alone or join us with a friend to join us for a light lunch, build friendships and enjoy some time at Iris Court
Iris Court Tot's Club
Join us for the morning for our monthly baby and toddler group, we will have Paw Patrol in attendance, soft play and toys, whilst light refreshments will be provided.
Carers Cafe
Come along and meet with friends over light refreshments and enjoy the mornings entertainment or hear from various guest speakers.
