Activities at Hilderstone Hall Care Home
Our activities team are, first and foremost, devoted to each and every resident in the home, and strive to ensure that their interests, hobbies, capabilities and individual requests are met to the highest standard. This could include one-to-one chats, hand massages, reading, music therapy, flower arranging, movement to music, arts & crafts, gardening and baking. We also have regular fun, adventurous and stimulating trips, where we encourage families and loved ones to join us. We have close links with the Alzheimer's Society, the local primary school, and Trinity Skills who come to sing with residents. All the staff at Hilderstone Hall participate in activities with residents, offering encouragement, stimulation and interaction for everyone involved, providing the most fulfilling experience possible.

Fun Filled Christmas Outing
What a fun day we all had.
Our residents had an amazing time travelling in our minibus to the #masterpotterpub in Cheadle where they enjoyed a fabulous Christmas lunch together, the first this season of a few we think!
They were able to enjoy an afternoon of tasty Christmas fayre and listen to the talented entertainers
We had a fantastic time.
Tamar delivers individual exercise sessions
Our activities team at the home organise a variety of exercise classes for both balance and strength, which are always very much enjoyed by the residents. Physical Training Instructor, Tamar is a regular visitor to the home delivering brilliant one to one exercises tailored to individual resident's needs.
We frequently host fun-filled exercise sessions, where we learn interesting facts about the types of exercises, stretches and resistance movements that we can all benefit from
Art on Canvas masterclass with Blythe Bridge High School
Students of Blythe Bridge High School hosted a morning masterclass of Christmas Art on Canvas.
Residents and students each benefited so much by sharing ideas and techniques. We hope you love the results as much as we do
The fabulous art work can be seen on display in the Bistro during the month of December
Fun & Games
We love sociable games and get together frequently for some friendly competition and always reap the benefits that the interactions bring.
A successful day results in friends being made, a huge sense of achievement for all who have taken part and prizes have been won!
Employee of the Month
Congratulations to Hostess Jo Macari who has been awarded Employee of the Month for the month of October. Jo's nominations included "always going above and beyond" in her role and for being a "fabulous human"
Each month, staff, residents, visitors, families and friends are all encouraged to vote for any member of staff for the monthly award and to help us celebrate success. The nomination forms and voting box is displayed in the home's reception. We look forward to rewarding the monthly winners each time.
Bonfire night fun
