"The staff at Hilderstone Hall are friendly and welcoming to relatives of their residents. They provide excellent activities and encourage residents to take part. Relatives are also invited to many of the activities and to accompany residents on some of the organised trips.
The menu offered is varied and nutritious, although the staff do not always remind residents that they can have alternatives to the menu if they would prefer.
Staff generally, but not always, pay great attention to the safety of the residents, sometimes forgetting to ensure that a buzzer is within reach, and that the motion-sensor mat is appropriately placed in bedrooms. There is not always a member of staff in communal areas.
Communication between members of staff is generally good, although occasionally relatives are not informed of visits and reports of outside agencies.
The staff are friendly to, and supportive of, residents, and help to make Hilderstone a home for all their residents."
