Activities at Hall Park Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Natasha Lindo

Activities Coordinator

Natasha is the Activities Coordinator here at Hall Park. Natasha really enjoys her job as no two days are ever the same. The life enrichment and daily activities program aims to provide stimulation for the mind, body and soul by engaging with residents daily.  We all love to use our imagination and here we encourage creative activities. We also have a minibus which is used weekly to take residents out to cafes, local beauty spots and day trips.

Remembrance Sunday

Remembrance Sunday is a day to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts. During the day, our residents enjoyed putting a remembrance display together, with their own handmade wreaths and poppies, which turned out beautifully. We enjoyed a special church service to honour veterans and armed forces members who have died in the line of duty and we read some war poems.

Fun on Bonfire Night

Staff and residents at Hall Park celebrated bonfire night when they wrapped up warm to gather around the bonfire to watch a fantastic firework display and enjoy lots of seasonal treats washed down with some mulled wine.

Bonfire Night commemorates the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot when 14 individuals tried to blow up the House of Lords during the state opening of Parliament on November 5th 1605.  Staff and residents made a traditional Guy to burn on the bonfire while the fireworks lit up the night sky.

The residents enjoyed traditional bonfire night treats, including jacket potatoes, hot dogs, toffee apples, treacle toffee and parkin all beautifully prepared by the head chef.

Happy Halloween

We had a very Happy Halloween

Hall Park care home was a den of ghoulish activity as the home’s spooky Halloween afternoon party Magic Show got in to full swing.

Residents and staff got in to the spirit of things by decorating the home, creating Halloween decorations, icing spooky biscuits and cupcakes prepared by head chef.
