Activities at Fountains Care Home

What a joyful day we had at our Easter themed open day! Everyone enjoyed indulging in delicious Easter cakes while soaking in the cheerful atmosphere. A special thank you to our talented singer, Paulo, whose beautiful melodies truly made the day unforgettable!

Resident, Betty said, “I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was surrounded by lots of great people, great entertaiment and the refreshments kept flowing. The weather held out until we finished. Staff did a great job, not just on the day, but organising the event and getting everyone together.”

At Fountains, Mother's Day was filled with love and joy! With flowers in the air and families gathered around, you could truly feel the warmth and affection. Residents and their loved ones were amazed by the beautiful decor and delighted in our homemade treats while enjoying a special Mother's Day brunch together. A Fantastic celebration that everyone will cherish!

At Fountains Care Home, we were thrilled to host a special live performance by the talented dancers from Harle Quin Dance Academy. The children showcased a variety of dance styles, leaving our residents in awe of their incredible skill and energy.

The performance not only entertained but also sparked joy and nostalgia. Afterward, the young dancers graciously handed out flowers and took the time to interact with our residents. Many shared beautiful memories of their younger days, reminiscing about times when they too would dance. The feedback and praise exchanged between the generations created a heart-warming atmosphere, full of smiles and shared connections.

It was a truly magical day, and we’re so grateful to Harley Quin Dance Academy for bringing such talent and joy to Fountains!

At Fountains Care Home, we're excited to share a delightful new addition to our community: our very own sweet shop! This initiative is all about encouraging social interactions and empowering our residents to become shopkeepers, giving them the chance to take on a fun and engaging role within our home. Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces as they enjoy the sweet treats is truly heart-warming. It’s not just about the sweets – it’s about fostering enjoyment, laughter, and a sense of pride in the work we do together.

A huge thank you to our wonderful team for turning this sweet idea into a reality! Through great teamwork and creativity, we've created a space where residents can connect, have fun, and enjoy a little bit of extra joy in their day.

We wanted to take a moment to share the wonderful experience we had during our "Meet the Manager" event. We hosted an afternoon tea where we enjoyed the delightful company of our community members, residents, and staff. 

A highlight of the day was our special guest, the Mayor of Solihull, who added an extra layer of enjoyment to the afternoon. Everyone had a lovely time and truly enjoyed themselves. 

On St. Patrick's Day, the Brownies from Monkspath 1st came to visit the residents at Fountains for a special celebration. The young visitors had the opportunity to learn about the significance of the day and took part in various activities. One of the highlights was Irish Bingo, which was both fun and educational. They also engaged in a creative activity where they made pots of gold using food ingredients, which the residents enjoyed tasting. Additionally, the Brownies made wrist bracelets as a keepsake.

The residents were also fascinated to learn about the Brownies' badges and how they earned them. To make the visit even more special, the catering department prepared fresh homemade brownies for the Brownies to take home, leaving everyone with a sweet memory of the day. It was a wonderful exchange of knowledge, creativity, and delicious treats!
