Activities at Field House Care Home
The Activities Coordinators here at Field House are always keen to learn about residents' interests and hobbies, tailoring meaningful activities to the likes and dislikes of those we support. Our mission is to ignite the past, appeal to current interests and embrace new ones, improving quality of life whilst stimulating the mind and senses. Activities are carried out via small groups or individually, supported by local volunteers. We have access to a range of local community facilities and nearby places of interest, prompting community engagement, and hold special events at the home, where we are entertained by guest vocalists and performers, with 'The Quiz Master' being a fan favourite.
Caroline Davis
Hi, I'm Caroline and I joined Field House in 2021 from another Barchester home. I have worked in care for the last 30 years and a big part of that has been with Barchester.
Here at Field House, I organise a variety of activities and social events within the home and in the community, such as gardening club arts and crafts, weekly exercise sessions along with live singers and musicians every month. We are also keen on regular outings to local landmarks, museums, cafes and shopping centres.
In my job, I'm able to develop excellent relationships with residents and their families providing the support they need. I am very passionate about my job role as it is very important to us as a team that every individual is able to live the life they wish and feel fulfilled in their everyday activities maintaining past hobbies and finding new ones.

Life at Field House Care Home
Ladies Day
What can we say we have had the best field house lady’s racing day enjoying prosecco and chocolate fountain was flowing, the horses raced well and the icing on the cake was our own little jockey he jumped at the offer for dressing up and really got into his character and the lady’s thought it was great fun and it made them all laugh.
Good Friday
The residents at field house today have enjoyed good Friday celebrations, starting with coffee and a hot cross bun in the conservatory. Showing off their Easter bonnets to Paula our chef and Helen our domestic team they took some time picking out their favourite bonnet as they said they were all so good and all so different the winning bonnet was one of our lovely gentlemen, his idea behind his bonnet was the chickens he had on his farm so that’s what he wanted just to have a hat of chickens, he was so happy when he got picked. After with the help of the staff the residents put their bets on the carrot racing a fantastic day had by all.
Easter Entertainment
An afternoon of fantastic entertainment from the lovely tom Wenlock here at field house the residents enjoyed singing and dancing the afternoon away. A tom jones classic brought back happy memories for one lady which brought tears to her eyes.
