Activities at Edingley Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

We strongly believe people living with dementia should enjoy a fulfilled and happy life, with specialist support to continue doing the things they love every day. All Barchester staff receive dementia care training to ensure we provide the best for our residents, and we embrace the very latest technology and techniques to ensure our residents can live a life that feels comfortable, enriching and connected.

A Trip to Jurassic World!
What a wonderful fun packed week we have had here at Edingley!
When residents requested a trip to the local garden centre, there was no stopping us and off we went that day in our home's minibus. Residents loved walking around the garden centre, buying the bits they needed and having a well deserved cup of tea in the cafe.
We also spotted some familiar faces around one of the corners, but there was no bothering or spooking our ladies! Absolutely fearless!

Getting in the Autumn Spirit
Autumn themed Art session!
This morning residents joined together with our activities team member for art club in the activities room at Edingley Lodge.
Simple colouring and painting is a form of self expression that can boost self-esteem and relaxation. So we wanted to take advantage and celebrate the new season now there's a chill in the air!
Resident Sylvia also joined with the activities team to decorate the home for Autumn season!

Dominoes Club
Our residents really enjoyed our group session of dominoes this afternoon. It was lovely to get together over a cup of tea and enjoy the game as it was something a bit different!
A great time was had by everyone so we will definitely be making this a regular occurrence!
