Hi, my name is Jilu, and I am the General Manager here at Edingley Lodge. Welcome to our website!
I am a nurse by profession and completed my nursing studies in India. I moved to UK in 2010. Since then, I have worked in the health and social care setting. I started my career in the UK as a health care assistant and I joined the Nursing and Midwifery Council. I have also worked as a registered nurse in a number of nursing and care homes. I have experience in supporting and assisting residents with many complex mental health needs. I am very passionate and honest towards my role.
I joined with Barchester in 2019 as a bank nurse, and worked as Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead for a year. I am now at Edingley Lodge as General Manager, responsible for running this beautiful home, building a strong relationship with my residents, their loved ones and the community.
I am very proud to be with a team, who go above and beyond to ensure a safe comfortable place for our residents to enable them to enjoy their life.
My name is Anju, I am Deputy Home Manager here at Edingley Lodge Care Home. I completed my nurse training in India in 2011 and I moved to UK in 2014. I have worked for Barchester since 2016, starting as a Staff Nurse. I am thoroughly enjoying the care home and my careers progression. I have always enjoyed working in care and I have always approached my job with enthusiasm and passion. I am extremely proud to be a part of the team who thrives to deliver the best quality services to those we support.'
Hi my name is Anju Bharatharaj. I began working as a Registered Nurse at Edingley lodge in 202I. I completed my nursing from India in 2013 and worked as a nurse in there for two years. I moved to the UK in 2015 continuing my nursing career. I love taking care of people who are in need and take great satisfaction from seeing the positive results of good nursing care.
Hello my name is Marta Fitzerman I was born in Poland and studied in Lublin. I have worked in the care sector since 2014. I have been studying catering for 4 years and am Second Chef here at Edingley Lodge.
I enjoy all my work and different ways of cooking especially when residents enjoy the menus so much that clean plates are returned to the kitchen, this is when job satisfaction and a great sense of accomplishment is felt.
Haylene Du Plessis
Hello my name is Haylene Du Plessis I come all the way from South Africa where I went to school in Ladysmith. I came over to England in 2019 starting in the care sector, I have previously had 20 years’ experience in administration and office work in South Africa, I enjoy painting and singing within a choir I enjoy my work within Barchester as every day is different.
Hi, my name is Chloe and have been employed at the home for over 7 years. During this time I have gained a lot of of confidence and knowledge in readiness for my current role as Head of Housekeeping working with a wonderful team. We all take pride in what we do and work hard to make sure the cleanliness is always at a high standard. We like to get to know all our residents and help in any way we can to make them feel at home and part of the family. I look forward to meeting you on your visit.
My name is Sarah and I am the Receptionist at Edingley Lodge. I started in 2017. You will see me in the home Monday to Friday. I am the friendly voice at the end of the telephone when you call and deal with all enquiries any questions you may have. I will gladly welcome you into our care home.
Stacey joined in 2021 as a Carer following a career break to take time out whilst raising a young family. As a local, Stacey finds her work life balance is working really well and most of all loves the instant positive feedback from residents she cares for daily.
My name is Kelly and I started working with Barchester in April 2020. I am a care assistant here at Edingley Lodge. I have lots of experience in the care community and have a great passion for what I do. I work with a fantastic team.
My name is Elizabeth Hodson, I started working at Barchester healthcare since 2016.I enjoy my job meeting the residents and spending time to getting to know them. I am passionate about my Job,I enjoy giving the residents the best care possible.
My name is Emma Grainger, I started working with Barchester since 2019.I work in Housekeeping and Laundry. I like to take great pride in my work and do whatever I can to make the residents happy. I work with a great team.

Anoosha Ullattuthara Balakrishanan (RGN)
Hi my name is Anoosha ullattithara Balakrishanan working as a registered nurse at Edingley Lodge.I Completed my nursing degree in India and moved to uk in 2014.I started my career as a Health care Assistant and worked with various companies.I joined Barchester in August 2021 and I enjoys working here with our supportive great team .I am very passionate and honest about my role, always happy to help the team and management to provide individualised and holistic care and support for our residents at Edingley Lodge.
My name is Karen Beres, I am working as care Assistant I started working at Barchester healthcare since 2010.I enjoy my job meeting the residents and spending time to getting to know them. I am passionate about my Job, I enjoy giving the residents the best care possible.
My name is Jerrie Mallon Head Chef at Edingley Lodge. I started working with Barchester since April 2020,I have been a chef for last 30 years worked in various restaurants around the world.
I enjoy cooking different meals for our residents at Edingley Lodge and I work with a great team.
Hello my name is Karen, I work as a hostess at Edingley Lodge. I Started working with Barchester since May 2012. I am very familiar with diets and resident’s needs, I support the kitchen in many ways. I am easy going which helps me to welcome residents and their families into our Home and make them feel comfortable, I work with a fantastic Team.
