Hi, my name is Jilu, and I am the General Manager here at Edingley Lodge. Welcome to our website!
I am a nurse by profession and completed my nursing studies in India. I moved to UK in 2010. Since then, I have worked in the health and social care setting. I started my career in the UK as a health care assistant and I joined the Nursing and Midwifery Council. I have also worked as a registered nurse in a number of nursing and care homes. I have experience in supporting and assisting residents with many complex mental health needs. I am very passionate and honest towards my role.
I joined with Barchester in 2019 as a bank nurse, and worked as Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead for a year. I am now at Edingley Lodge as General Manager, responsible for running this beautiful home, building a strong relationship with my residents, their loved ones and the community.
I am very proud to be with a team, who go above and beyond to ensure a safe comfortable place for our residents to enable them to enjoy their life.
My name is Anju, I am Deputy Home Manager here at Edingley Lodge Care Home. I completed my nurse training in India in 2011 and I moved to UK in 2014. I have worked for Barchester since 2016, starting as a Staff Nurse. I am thoroughly enjoying the care home and my careers progression. I have always enjoyed working in care and I have always approached my job with enthusiasm and passion. I am extremely proud to be a part of the team who thrives to deliver the best quality services to those we support.'
Hello my name is Marta Fitzerman I was born in Poland and studied in Lublin. I have worked in the care sector since 2014. I have been studying catering for 4 years and am Second Chef here at Edingley Lodge.
I enjoy all my work and different ways of cooking especially when residents enjoy the menus so much that clean plates are returned to the kitchen, this is when job satisfaction and a great sense of accomplishment is felt.
Haylene Du Plessis
Hello my name is Haylene Du Plessis I come all the way from South Africa where I went to school in Ladysmith. I came over to England in 2019 starting in the care sector, I have previously had 20 years’ experience in administration and office work in South Africa, I enjoy painting and singing within a choir I enjoy my work within Barchester as every day is different.
Lauren is the Activities Lead Coordinator here at Edingley Lodge. No day is ever the same. She arranges varied daily acitvities and events which helps create a stimulating and developing engagement programme, to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the home. She joins the team with ample experience in coordinating activities at a local private nursery.
Hi, my name is Chloe and have been employed at the home for over 7 years. During this time I have gained a lot of of confidence and knowledge in readiness for my current role as Head of Housekeeping working with a wonderful team. We all take pride in what we do and work hard to make sure the cleanliness is always at a high standard. We like to get to know all our residents and help in any way we can to make them feel at home and part of the family. I look forward to meeting you on your visit.
My name is Sarah and I am the Receptionist at Edingley Lodge. I started in 2017. You will see me in the home Monday to Friday. I am the friendly voice at the end of the telephone when you call and deal with all enquiries any questions you may have. I will gladly welcome you into our care home.
My name is James, Activities Coordinator at Edingley Lodge. We have a varied program of activities and events as part of the life enrichment program. We focus on delivering activities for residents' mind body and soul. I enjoy making everyone smile and no day is the same I hope to make everyone at Edingley Lodge feel welcome and at home.
Hi. My name is Richard, Maintenance Manager at Edingley Lodge. I look forward to saying hello. I work alongside contractors, to maintain and develop the building, grounds and gardens, communal areas and people's rooms. Should anything be out of place or need fixing, filing or painting, I am always on hand.
