Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Activities Coordinator

Martin Tilly-Reed

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park

My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.

Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.

I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here  to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Nice 'n' Easy Pantomime

What a fantastic afternoon we had on Bluebell walk yesterday, as we were joined by Nice N Easy Activity Show Community Group for a Live Action Pantomime - from the comfort of our lounge.

Residents enjoyed the antics of Hood and Friar Tuck, with guest star Joan as Maid Marian! Thank you Nice 'N' Easy, we look forward to seeing you back in your usual attire next month.

Pet Cat Therapy

Some of our residents enjoying some animal therapy from our resident cat Bella over the weekend. Having Bella living with us at Collingtree allows residents to experience the benefits of having pets around without the magnitude of responsibility animals require. She certainly brings a smile to our faces.

Yummy World Chocolate Day

Today we revelled in all things sweet for World Chocolate Day with a range of chocolatey activities and sweet singing entertainment courtesy of Leyla. Our residents across the communities enjoyed dipping fresh strawberries, popcorn, marshmallows and various other sweet treats in and out of the velvety chocolate fountain before enjoying a singalong and boogie with Leyla.

A wonderful 'Choctastic' day was had by all.
