Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Activities Coordinator

Martin Tilly-Reed

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park

My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.

Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.

I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here  to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Celebrating our Princes Trust Volunteers

Pam, Derek and I were invited to congratulate our volunteer team from the Prince's Trust yesterday and joined them for their awards ceremony at the Abbey Centre. The team joined us on 2 days for their team challenge, where they supported activities in the home; hosting quizzes, word games and joining the residents for a walk in the sunshine.

The young people shared their experiences of the 12 week course and how they have used the experience to develop their confidence, wellbeing and employability skills. Whilst attending the ceremony, we caught up with the team as well as chatting to the Mayor of Northampton!

Thank you for having us team, you were all superb! From Pam, Derek and everyone at Collingtree Park, we wish you all the best of luck for the future.
