"Always welcoming. Lovely, well-kept environment. The staff are always smart in uniform, smiling, attentive, with nothing being too much trouble. I can see that not only do they care in a fantastic way but they love to care and really like those they care for. I see, on every visit, compassion, dignity and respect shown by all the residents. Any request made by resident or family is immediately taken on board and facilitated where at all possible. All in all, this is a lovely, clean, well-cared for and welcoming home. Thank you - you are super."

"My father was admitted to Collingtree Park Care Home after spending many weeks in and out of (mostly in) hospital. The hospital team were terrific and did all they could but then we needed somewhere that Dad could receive the sort of 24-hour care that is just not possible at home, to allow him to heal and enjoy as good a quality of life as possible. The Collingtree team quickly responded to an inquiry, followed up promptly with a hospital visit to assess needs and moved Dad in. His room is bright and cheerful and very clean. The staff are wonderful, from the housekeeping and cleaning staff to the care team and the management. Dad's general health and spirits have improved, thanks to good food and lots of attention. He is even participating in exercise and joining other residents for meals in the dining room which seemed unimaginable a month ago. The gardens are lovely and are a wonderful respite from being indoors when the weather cooperates. Thank you to the entire Collingtree team!"

"From my very first enquiry with Collingtree Park, I knew that this was a good care home and where my Dad should now live. A member of staff showed us around and made time for us. Any subsequent enquiries I made to clarify things only went to confirm my first impression. The manager and deputy went to visit Dad to assess his needs in advance and were extremely thorough. When Dad moved in, the care package and attention to detail for managing those difficult early days were highly impressive. Support for his needs has been just fantastic and any worries he has are swiftly attended to. Every member of staff I have had contact with has been a delight. Dad continually comments favourably on the 'wonderful food' and choices on the menu. His room is bright, cheery and very clean. I am so grateful to everyone at Collingtree Park and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Well done everyone! Can't comment on activities as Dad is a solitary chap by nature."

"Since my mum came to visit Collingtree Park Care Home, she has been treated with care and kindness. The facilities are generally very good. It is a shame that the food is not of a particularly good standard and is the issue my mum talks about most. It is often served cold when it should be hot and is not always cooked very well. The manager is very approachable and always visible and values the opinions of the residents."

"Basically very happy with the care. Mum and Dad receive a lot of help-both needing the hoist or the complete hoist to move from chair to chair or bed. Both seem happy, the food is excellent and the carers are very kind but very busy. Communication between myself and the carers is excellent. It's a very friendly and secure environment. The only slight issue is the lack of activities."

"My father required a period of respite following a fall at home where he had been living for the last 52 years. The staff at Collingtree Park Care Home understood his position and made him feel very welcome, so much so that he decided to stay permanently. All the staff and management are visible and approachable and I'm delighted to see dad settled and comfortable. He enjoys the interaction and activity provided. He tells me the food is very acceptable which is a compliment in itself. The premises are always clean and fresh smelling, overall I'm very happy with our choice."

"I cannot praise the staff enough at Collingtree, specifically the lovely admin assistant who answered the phone. I rang very distressedly, needing emergency respite care for my dad. I had been thrown into finding a suitable care home at short notice and had no idea how to go about it. The lady I spoke to was so understanding and compassionate and instantly put my mind at rest. She explained how the admission process worked, rang me regularly to check on our situation and generally went over and above to support me through a tricky few weeks. Amazing service."

"My mother is suffering with dementia and had to move into Collingtree Park in March 2021 due to her worsening condition. Every member of staff we have encountered (either over the phone or during our visits) has been caring and professional. I was expecting the transition for mum to be extremely difficult but thanks to the care and professionalism of the team at Collingtree it has been quite the opposite. The team understands the emotions involved for relatives of new residents and have been extremely supportive towards myself and my sister. They have made a real effort to get to know mum as an individual and are always trying to engage her in activities that she will enjoy. We have been very impressed with everyone at Collingtree Park."

"My mother went into hospital for an operation on Tuesday, but unfortunately, I was in isolation and was therefore unable to take her. This was very difficult for me, but I was really pleased that a member of staff from Memory Lane escorted her and stayed with her throughout what could have been a traumatic day. This staff member is amazing at her job, with a natural caring way. She is an absolute asset to Barchester. She has developed a wonderful relationship with my mum and I'm sure it was a great comfort to have her with her, as it was for me to know my mum was in such good hands."

"Mum entered Barchester Collingtree Park in April 2020, very much in need of care and support as she had rapidly become less capable in the early part of 2020. Clearly a difficult time under "normal" circumstances, but with the additional uncertainties and demands from the Covid pandemic, it was very tricky. However, Mum was given extremely good care from day one, and within several weeks began to settle, and some weeks further on began to improve. By July a remarkable turnaround had been achieved, and I have no doubt that this was down to the excellent care she is being given by the whole team at Collingtree Park. She is now settled, feels "at home", and is now enjoying face to face visits in her room from the family. Thanks to all staff at Collingtree Park."

"My mother went downhill as soon as she entered this home and I don't believe this should happen if the home is the right one. My mother improved dramatically once I moved her to a nursing home. The experience has left me understanding the importance of making sure the home is right for the individual. It's important to look at the difference between care homes and nursing homes. They can be so different as they have different staffing levels so the higher the needs are, the greater staffing levels are necessary. I phoned daily to get updates from the staff about my mother as she was deteriorating but often found the person who knew the answer was doing rounds so could not talk at the time. There are a few staff who answer the phone that is not carers so waiting for the right staff member was often irritating at a time when my anxieties were high. I felt sometimes I was being a nuisance to the staff not by what they said but by the tone of voice they used toward me."

"Mum has been a resident at Barchester Collingtree Park Care for 4 years now and feels that the staff are part of her family. In fact, during this Covid pandemic, they are the ones who have held her hand and given her the hugs I haven't been able to. They've arranged weekly Skype calls and joined in with the general chat so that it feels like we have a gossip rather than a stilted conversation with an elderly person who can't always understand what is going on, and it enables Mum to interact with a person rather than just a screen. Mum caught coronavirus last year and the care and devotion the staff showed was second to none. We were fortunate that mum recovered and her Collingtree family were as overjoyed as me. The home itself is nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The gardens are colourful and easily accessed. Mum enjoys the food and the varied activities which keep the residents entertained. In fact, she is now a dab hand at carpet bowls! Collingtree for Mum is home in the true sense of the word."

"A brief note to say thank you. Thank you to all the girls that looked after my uncle, thank you to the maintenance manager for fixing up whatever was needed. We felt so confident with him in your very capable hands. Last week it was time to go, it was his time. Now the pain has gone, no need for endless medication. My uncle is at peace. "My grannie received outstanding care all throughout her battle with Alzheimer's and COVID, from which she sadly died. We were incredibly lucky to be able to celebrate my 30th birthday with her just before lockdown and then a final visit to say goodbye and thank you to her the day before she died in July. We shall always be forever grateful for the care my grannie and us all received. I personally work in a hospice and I could easily spot that Grannie received excellent end of life care at Collingtree. The staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The staff so kindly organised numerous Zoom calls with Grannie when the home was in lockdown. It was a massive comfort to be able to see her face and speak to her as well. We can't recommend this care home highly enough! Thank you so much to all the staff involved in caring for Grannie!"

"Mum had made her own decision that it was time for a care home, being a very organised and strong-willed lady we thought it would be a challenge. My husband and I said we would look into care near us at Northampton. We looked on the internet and contacted 2 homes. One didn't bother to reply, the second we had an appointment 3 hrs later. We knew as soon as we entered the home, it was perfect. After 3 weeks, a few teething probs, she is happily settled."

"Visited mum under COVID restrictions meaning my wife and I had to plan in advance, follow instructions and meet mum in the garden. Due to the weather, we warned the visit could be cancelled at any time. The process to book a visit was very easy, everything explained clearly. On arrival we were met by staff outside, the procedure for the visit was explained and we were made to feel at ease. The carer brought mum down to us and then left us alone to sit, at social distancing, and chat to mum for the allowed time period. The carer informed us she would be just indoors if she was needed. It did start to rain as we arrived but they have erected a gazebo and thankfully it wasn't windy or too cold. It was lovely to see mum and see she was being given the best possible care by the home."

"Let's face it, no family is happy when one of their senior members needs to have full-time care only a care home can provide. You then discover there are care homes and CARE HOMES. We have experienced both ends of this spectrum. Phone calls full of her desperation to "go home", "I'm waiting for a taxi to take me home", "Can't talk - must pack my bag", One-time staff finally located her waiting at the lift in an attempt to make a run for it... Very evidently we had not found her a happy place. Everything changed when she moved into Collingtree Park. Since then my every phone call is upbeat, every Skype conversation reassuring, each garden visit a pleasure - this week we shared a happy half hour in the sunshine, got an enthusiastic welcome, saw her big smile, and met several members of staff. I noticed her face lit up whenever one of them bent close enough for her to see who it was. She really believes she is home. She is happy. She is properly cared for. So her family is happy too."

"My mother had been very unhappy in her previous care home in another town where my sister lived. Therefore we were very grateful that my mother soon settled in at Collingtree Park and seemed much happier. She never wanted to be in any care home but at 92 and with dementia she needed 24/7 care and therefore a care home was the only viable option. Throughout the year and a half that my mother was resident, the senior staff always showed a welcome and a willingness to engage with us and to build a relationship so that we could discuss my mother's needs and any issues that arose. Towards the final weeks of her life, the care and compassion shown by the staff to my mother was exceptional. My sister's husband who is a doctor and who is very familiar with hospice work declared to me that he thought the level of care was better than the level of care shown in a hospice! Praise indeed. This was during a period when the Covid virus was around and many restrictions were in place."

"I want to say a big thank you to all the staff at Collingtree Park Care home. My Parents moved to the care home last November, they have always been very independent people, but they needed more help, both having dementia. It was important to me to find a care home where they could still be together living in the same room, they were married for 65 years. My mother died in May of this year, not from Coronavirus, just from old age. The situation was made worse with Coronavirus lockdown, not being able to see him and comfort him during this sad time. The Carers and all the staff at Collingtree Park Care Home have been absolutely fabulous. We have had phone calls and Skype video calls every week. Although it was confusing for Dad why I couldn’t be there, but to see his face light up when we Skype called was priceless. We have started garden visits and to see Dad happy and chatty has been so uplifting. So again thank you to the Collingtree Park team for all your hard work."

"Dad went into Collingtree in the early stages of his dementia and the location was great for quiet walks and trips to the bar at the local golf club. As his dementia worsened he was not able to enjoy the surroundings but the staff were brilliant throughout. Always felt that Dad was being cared for and room and facilities were good."

"My uncle lived at the Collingtree care home in Northampton for over five years until his death in May 2020. Before he went there myself and other members of the family went to see several homes in the area and felt none compared more favourably than Collingtree. The whole team of carers, admin and managers were excellent in all respects. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff very approachable. Any concerns or worries were dealt with in a speedy and professional manner. I would highly recommend this exceptional care home."

"I would not recommend any particular provider or care home as I feel the responsibility to be too great. I would of course tell of my experiences at Collingtree truthfully. The Resident's meetings can be helpful. Decisions on matters raised should and must be referred back to the resident concerned. I am content living at Collingtree."

"Mum was in the home for a few months. She had come to a new area so it was very challenging for her. All the staff seemed kind and helped her to settle in. The carers always picked up on things that weren't right and sorted things out. Mum also enjoyed the 3-course meals and going into the garden."

"To me, one of the most impressive features of Collingtree Park is the whole culture and stability of the staff. The same staff I met when my mother moved into the home three years ago were there at her bedside when she passed away. For dementia sufferers, this stability is so important. Care is given with genuine compassion. Staff befriend the residents and get to know their idiosyncrasies and preferences. The food is excellent and plentiful. The home is clean, spacious and very friendly. Management are accessible and keen to listen. Naturally, it is not a cheap option but it does represent true value for a loved one as they near the twilight of their life."

"When my husband was admitted as an emergency referral, the staff were wonderful and couldn't have been kinder or more caring. As his stay progressed, we hit problems. He needs to get outside and that rarely happened. He paced the corridors so much that he lost a lot of weight and got blisters on his feet. When he left the home, he had run out of several important medications which they said they would get."

"I have been here for 6-months, and from the initial contact, I was impressed with the professionalism, but the proof of the pudding has been beyond my expectations. From the manager to the carers, housekeeping, and catering staff, no matter how busy they are there’s always a smile and time for ‘just me’. How rare is that? When I first decided it was time to “put myself” into a care home I was worried I’d become 'institutionalised'. Not a bit of it. It’s the best decision I have made since saying yes when my late husband proposed. What more can I say? No, I won’t say I’m happy, because my husband isn’t here, but I will say I am more than content, and how lucky I am to be here at Collingtree."

"The attitude of a senior carer leaves a lot to be desired both in terms of speaking to clients, staff and visitors. Management seem unaware or unable to change negative attitudes towards clients and visitors. Clients are not always treated with the dignity they deserve which I find very sad. Given the weekly cost of care I do not believe all clients get value for money."

"Looking for a home suitable for a loved one is such a difficult and emotional decision. However, I would not hesitate in recommending Collingtree Park to anyone. My Father-in-law resided at the home for just over seven years. The staff got to know him really well in order to give him the best/most appropriate care they could. As a family, we were welcome at any time and had great working relationships with the staff. My Father-in-law's care was as personalised as possible and he thrived in the home due to the care and attention he was paid. He was a man that always enjoyed food and this continued whilst at Collingtree Park. There was never a complaint made by him about the quality or quantity offered to him. Something that impressed us further in terms of the food was the way the food was presented, even when it was necessary to puree it in order that he could eat. Again - care and attention throughout. As a family, we were never in any doubt that he was safe and looked after."

"Mum came in for a week of respite care and a chance to convalesce. The staff were absolutely fantastic, so kind and caring and made mum feel really at home. She said the food was wonderful and it was like being on holiday having a cooked breakfast every morning. We could not fault the service and care received and sending mum home with an afternoon tea hamper was such a lovely end to the week. She said she will definitely come back."

"My mother seems very happy. Her needs are being met. Her skin and hair always look good and she is comfortable. Staff respond promptly and effectively to any issues raised. Whilst my mother has limited mobility (needs assistance and unable to move independently) and Alzheimer's, she is encouraged to voice her wishes. "My mother has been in Collingtree for six weeks now having moved from another care home. It has been a revelation to see how good a home can be in comparison to where she was before. She is extremely well cared for by lovely staff. She is comfortable, relaxed and happy with her room and the outlook. She finds the food very good, loves the gardens and the dining room and lounge that are very pleasant rooms. We are very happy to see her so well settled already."

"My husband had a weeks respite in Collingtree Park Care Home. He was happy with everything, apart from the bed, as he sleeps in a recliner chair at home. Mu husband likes to be out in the garden when possible and talking to people. Also, he prefers all his meals in the dining room. Staff were very caring."

"During the past two and a half years, our Aunt received an excellent standard of care at Collingtree Park Care Home. Prior to this, we had been dealing with a very challenging time due to our Aunt’s health care needs, especially surrounding her early onset dementia. Within a very short time however, it became obvious from the standard of care at Collingtree Park Care Home that they were very well equipped to deal with all aspects of her care. One of the most reassuring aspects was the alleviation of our Aunt’s severe anxiety. Members of the family and friends visiting observed this within one month. Every member of staff at Collingtree cared for our Aunt with true kindness and professionalism. Communication at all times between the staff and the family was excellent and we found this very reassuring. For two and a half years until our Aunt’s peaceful passing at the Home, the care was of an excellent standard at all times and, as a family, we would highly recommend Collingtree Park Care Home."

"My stay at Collingtree Park care home was only for two nights but during that period I can confirm the following. 1) All staff were very pleasant, made you welcome on arrival and during my stay. 2) Nothing was too much trouble, even in the night or the evening. 3) No complaints about the meals, good meals, good menu, nice restaurant. 4) My room was very pleasant, nice outlook, plenty of space and very clean. Overall enjoyed my stay, no complaints."

"My father required care in a hurry as his dementia had suddenly got worse. We had contacted Collingtree Park a month or so previously knowing that the time was approaching when we would be unable to care for dad to the extent we wished. The manager visited and said it would be a few months yet, but took him at very short notice when he suddenly went downhill. Dad thought he was in a hotel and was very happy there. The staff, especially a male member of staff who took no nonsense from dad, were amazing and my father, who was rude to everyone in a jokey way, found he could be as he was and the staff accepted him and, I think, enjoyed his banter. Unfortunately, he was not with them long but I thank them for making him content and looked after in his last months."

"The location and setting with beautiful gardens are very pleasant. The refurbished areas downstairs are extremely pleasing and of a high standard. Staff are friendly, but I feel there could be more frequent checks. Sadly, the upstairs floor always smells which is unnecessary and indicates attention is required. However, I do appreciate that I am unaware of all the demands in a care home."

"A good care home that cares well for your relative. The home is clean and is well presented. The staff are polite and make conversation with the relatives which is appreciated. There is a monthly what's on listing that each person has and informs them of what's coming up. In general, it is a happy environment. The individual rooms are comfortable and there is the choice to use the existing furniture or you can take your own. The room can be changed around and you are allowed to hang pictures etc. which makes it more familiar and homely for the resident. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home."

"This is our second experience of Collingtree Park Care Home. My mother-in-law was happily resident for 2.5 years until she passed away. I therefore actively chose the home for my own mother and she has settled very happily, as I knew she would. We have had such a positive experience previously. The staff are respectful and clearly, the residents are their sole priority. There is an inclusive, happy culture with all being treated according to their individual needs. Staff are always available for reassurance and advice and this I highly value. There is clear communication and cohesiveness between the staff and with residents and family. I would highly recommend Collingtree Park Care Home and I would choose this home again for myself if I were in a position to need care. Thank you to all the staff for looking after our family."

"Really good experience right from the start. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and explained everything. Mum has a lovely room overlooking the garden and is settling in well. all the staff from the general manager, finance manager and all carers are willing to chat and help in making mum feel at ease. we even get to sample delicious cake with our cup of tea."

"I went into Collingtree Park for respite care whilst my husband recovered from an operation. The care home staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable. In general, the care was good but certain aspects of my needs were not always catered for. For example, I have great difficulty holding cutlery and therefore forks and spoons have to be strapped to my hand and food cut up into small pieces. This was not always done and I was unable to feed myself at those times."

"A well-equipped home in a beautiful setting. Recently refurbished and decorated. My mother lived alone and was developing vascular dementia. She was lonely and didn't eat well. "Collingtree Park Care Home is professionally run but at the same time feels like home. My father has been a resident for over five years now and his needs have always been met. The staff get to know the residents properly, ensure they are safe and listen to their views. Relatives also get a chance to share their views and there are regular meetings held with the home's manager. Collingtree Park is exceptionally well run and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others."

"Collingtree Park is set in parkland overlooking the golf course, it is very clean and the food us made on the premises. "I needed to find a home close to me for my Mum. Visiting eight homes was very distressing and I hated having to make a decision. When I turned up at Collingtree they were wonderful, offered informal but informed information, non-bias and were extremely helpful. "Having visited a number of care homes, my first impression when I visited Collingtree Park and met senior staff, carers and other support staff, was that this was the home would be perfect for my wife (later confirmed by other family members). First impressions were proved to be fully justified. Although unfortunately, my wife did not live long enough to fully enjoy all that was available. What I can say is that Collingtree Park provides an outstanding quality of care tailored to individual residents needs and I cannot speak too highly as to how they looked after my wife. Inspirational leadership from the top ensures commitment and team spirit that delivers care in a calm and pleasant atmosphere."

"I was made very welcome on my initial visit and was able to see around the entire home. All my questions were answered fully and with understanding. We were invited to dinner for my husbands assessment and again the visit was handled with sensitivity and understanding. He has now started fortnightly day care with respite care every 2 months. He is very happy to go which has given me (as his sole carer) peace of mind and a weight off my shoulders."

"My mother has been a resident at Collingtree over the past 4 years, suffering from dementia. We made the decision to move Mum into a care home after she had a fall at home, resulting in a broken hip. Over her time at Collingtree, she has fallen again, had another hip operation, suspected strokes, and very sadly has passed away last week after a long and active life. We will miss her terribly. As a family we are indebted to the team at Collingtree for the commitment, patience and love they have shown our mother whilst in their care. You forget that the staff spend so much time with these individuals, day and night, that when they are gone, it is not only the family who are grieving but also the staff themselves. Mummy required 24/7 care in her last days and the Collingtree team were on hand without question to look after her with dignity, care and respect. Thank you so much to everyone from our family."

"On arrival a very good reception, flowers in her room and a member of staff brought a tray of coffee/tea, nothing was left out. The staff very friendly and helpful, made mum feel very much at home. The home is very clean and tidy. All activities available to all if wanted, hopefully mum will be able to go again for respite in the year. Would recommend the home to anyone wanting full time care or respite care. 10 out of 10."

"My father has been living in Collingtree since November 2015, and has throughout his stay been treated with respect, dignity, friendliness and most importantly care. All staff and management take time to get to know their residents and their relatives which makes for professional and knowledgeable experience for all. The food is of the highest standard with meals cooked on premises daily. Has this home a fault? well Barchester homes do charge at the top end of care home prices so therefore expectation in some areas can be difficult for the staff to meet, overall, I would still pay the costs to have my father an extremely comfortable life in this wonderful environment."

"We had responsibility of care of a friend who was admitted to Collingtree in June 2011. he had poor mobility but was of sound mind. She settled into life of "care" and was always very appreciative of the way she was helped and treated. The staff became her "friends". She had no immediate family but had many friends who were able to visit whenever they wished. She was able to have her own telephone and television in her room. She always said "I'm as happy here as I could be other than in my own home""

"Very welcoming and friendly staff. There was a bouquet of flowers to welcome my mother to their home which she loved, people to set up her television and to put up her pictures on the walls. Staff came and introduced themselves to her and to see if she needed anything. My mother said she felt like a queen with all the attention she was getting which was a great start to her new life there and every day she gets the same attention which is wonderful. I feel extremely lucky that my mother has such a lovely home to live the rest of her life in."

"I spent a month at Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home in order to convalesce after a complex hip fracture. This was such a good experience for me. My room overlooked the pretty garden, food was a real treat every day and everyone was so kind, caring and supportive. I was able to invite friends to join me for meals which was lovely. Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home residents were treated with respect and dignity. There was also a lot of laughter and genuine warmth in the care provided. I am now at home recovering slowly and learning to walk again."

"When it became clear that Mum required more care than I could provide at home, the staff at Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home made the transition to becoming a resident extremely smooth and as easy as possible.
