Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Daxter Board
Hi, my name is Daxter and I'm the activities coordinator here at Claremont Parkway. I've worked within care homes since moving to Kettering and have experience across the departments giving me a good understanding of all our resident's needs.
I'm passionate about providing tailored activities that truly engage each and every resident. Through getting to know them as individuals, I can work together with my colleagues to find life enriching experiences; small or large that will brighten their days whilst they reside with us.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Mum and daughter entertain us
We had a lovely afternoon at Claremont Parkway thanks to some entertainment by the lovely Mum and daughter singing duo, Lesley-Ann and Katie-Rose. We joined in the singing and dancing and had a great time.
A flipping good pancake day
Claremont Parkway enjoyed a pancake-flipping contest between Steve, our Head of Maintenance, and Rhys, from Premier Decorators UK. Rhys is part of the fantastic team currently transforming our home with a stunning refurbishment. He was a good sport in joining in the fun but the winner was our own Steve. Afterwards we all enjoyed some pancakes and a choice of toppings.
Carnival in Rio
At Claremont Parkway we have enjoyed a day of armchair travel to Brazil, to feel the atmosphere of Carnival in Rio, learn about its history and see some famous sights. Our Chef and kitchen team treated us to a special Brazilian dining experience, too.
Balloon Tennis
At Claremont Parkway we have fun and keep fit at the same time. Balloon tennis is a great way to keep our upper bodies moving by gently stretching high and rotating our shoulders.
Valentine's Day Crafts
At Claremont Parkway we created a forest of Valentine's love heart trees and displayed them on a window sill where they looked lovely. We also made some beautiful Valentine's cards to send to loved ones.
Sensory Experience
Elaine took a box of sensory items into people’s rooms at Claremont Parkway, to enjoy different textures, smells, colours and lights.
