Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Hamerton Zoo Day 2
Today some more residents visited Hamerton Zoo the weather was just perfect. Residents and staff had a lovely picnic set up by our hospitality team to enjoy during the trip which we ate whilst watching the animals. As the sun shone we also enjoyed ice creams serve at the zoo which was an absolute treat to cool us down.
The animals were full of fun playing together...What an amazing day!

Emergency Services 'Take A Break'
Staff at Claremont Parkway were pleased to help a hardworking paramedic 'take a break' during his busy shift when he found himself in need of a microwave to heat his well-earned dinner.
Natalie Maxwell, General Manager said "It was lovely to be able to offer our facilities and we're happy to extend the offer all of our local service workers who stop in tea, coffee, juice, chilled water, delicious homemade cake and biscuits and a healthy selection of fruit, all available free of charge. Our comfortable facilities include free Wi-Fi and service with a smile; do stop in and say hi, we would be delighted to see you!”
The doors at Claremonth Parkway are always open to welcome any emergency services personnel in their local area who find themselves in need of a comfort break. It’s our way of saying thank you to all service workers who don’t always have time to go home or back to their workplace on their break.
The team and the residents of Claremont Parkway are here to help.

Nina and Barbara's Shopping Day
One of our fantastic carers; Nina, took a very happy resident; Barbara for a lovely shopping trip to Tesco so she could enjoy getting the fresh air and having a good look around the shop, being able to pick and choose whatever she wanted.
Since being at our home Nina and Barbara have formed a very good friendship, and Barbara always looks forward to seeing Nina on shift. Nina a great example of what a 'good carer' really is!

Battle of Britain Remembered
On Tuesday afternoon we were treated to a wonderful afternoon of 40’s music from the lovely Fiona Harrison. In honour of the Battle of Britain. Thank you Fiona for a lovely selection of songs, which all the residents thoroughly enjoyed hearing, singing along and dancing to.

Celebrating 10-years Service
Here at Claremont we celebrated 10 years of fantastic service from these two amazing carers who continue to provide outstanding care to the residents at our home. All carers and residents are always happy to see these two wonderful ladies are on shift.
A little known fact about them is that they became best friends whilst working at the home where they have continued to support carers and residents. A big congratulations for 10 years of service. We hope you enjoy the flowers chocolates and the vouchers ladies. From everyone at Claremont - THANKYOU!

Pop up Movie Afternoon
Today we had movie afternoon at the home where residents chose to watch the movie 'A Street Cat called Bob'. We made our own popcorn and compared it to a ready made pack . We also enjoyed a tub of quality streets together. The movie was enjoyed with a pause for refreshments of lemonade, more popcorn and crisps. One resident chose to play scrabble during the movie with Karen!
After which we discussed the film, it was a very relaxed afternoon.
