Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Daxter Board

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Daxter and I'm the activities coordinator here at Claremont Parkway. I've worked within care homes since moving to Kettering and have experience across the departments giving me a good understanding of all our resident's needs.

I'm passionate about providing tailored activities that truly engage each and every resident. Through getting to know them as individuals, I can work together with my colleagues to find life enriching experiences; small or large that will brighten their days whilst they reside with us.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Some tiny visitors

Today Claremont Parkway welcomed Lucia’s Tiny Farm. The little visitors included some calm, soft guinea pigs, a rabbit, Bernard the bearded dragon, Pepper the tortoise and our favourite...Ethel the chicken. It was the best afternoon of pet therapy you could ask for. We enjoyed lots of cuddles, feeding and grooming with our new friends.

Lovely entertainment with Jenny

We love it when Jenny comes to visit Claremont Parkway. We were dancing, clapping and singing along.

Decorating Spring Planters

We have been decorating some little wooden planters at Claremont Parkway. Once they are dry we will join the sections together and use them to grow some seeds in.

Springspiration

At Claremont Parkway Cynthia was inspired to get artistic by some lovely pictures of spring plants and landscapes. She loved the relaxing time she spent creating her own masterpiece.

Ladies' football

Cynthia and Catherine played a great game of two halves at Claremont Parkway, with a good warm up to help their shoulders and legs, half-time refreshments and a cool down to unwind at the end. Great fun!

Mother's Day Crafts

At Claremont Parkway we made Mother's Day cards which some of our residents sent to their daughters and daughters-in-law.
