Activities at Broadway Halls Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Scott Bates
Hi I'm Scott, and I am privileged to be the Activities Co-ordinator at Broadway Halls.
Our Residents are special people with many wonderful stories to tell about their lives, and it is my job to understand their life history, their interests and theirs needs in order to deliver a person centred life enrichment programme.
I enjoy putting smiles on their faces as often as I can. I love to entertain and aim to ensure that every resident's interests and hobbies are supported. I have worked in care and in activities in previous roles, and I love my job!
Outside of work, I am busy being a Father, I try to play football and have a keen interest in metal detecting.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Pub Visit Went Down a Treat!
We enjoyed a ‘Pub Club’ visit to the Fellows Pub in Dudley. Each resident selected their own tipple from the bar, they shared memories of visiting their local when they were younger whilst tucking into Black Country Pork scratching's. The visit was a huge success, one resident said ‘can we come tonight for the entertainment and have a boogie on the tables.’

Swashbuckling Adventure!
Treasure Island production was a swashbuckling masterpiece was enjoyed by the whole audience from the youngest children to our very own residents who laughed and clapped along with the cast as they told their tale of treasure and adventure!

Family & Friend Visits
Family & friends visiting is so important, visits improve happiness, stimulation and well-being of our residents. We always welcome family & friends of our residents to visit every day and to come along to our activities and events.

Smiles at 90th Birthday Celebrations

Bringing Back Memories
One of our lovely residents on Memory Lane used to play the church piano in Budleigh Salterton where she grew up. She loved the surprise! Huge thank you to Activities Assistant Julie’s children for the kind donation, our residents are very happy playing the keyboard.

Local School Children Visit
Bramford Primary Updates School visited this morning to entertain our residents with their wonderful singing voices. The residents had a fantastic time joining in with the songs. Afterwards the children chatted with us all, it was lovely to see the smiles on everybody’s faces.
