Activities at Broadway Halls Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Scott Bates

Activities Coordinator

Hi I'm Scott, and I am thrilled to be the Activities Coordinator at Broadway Halls. Our residents are special people with many wonderful stories to tell about their lives, I enjoy putting smiles on their faces as often as I can. I love to 'entertain' and aim to ensure that every resident's interests and hobbies are supported. I have worked in care and in activities in previous roles, and I love my job!

Life at Broadway Halls Care Home

Amazing School Visit for World Book Day

Broadway halls visited a local primary school on 6th March for world book day. Children from years 2-5 read their favourite books to the residents, it was a great experience for both children and resident. Our residents couldn’t believe how much primary school has changed since they were young.

Special Visit from Local School

We enjoyed a brilliant afternoon with a special visit from Bramford Primary school, children from years 1, 2 & 3 put on a great show singing songs to residents, their family members & our team, we all loved it and hope they visit again soon.

Thank you to Dudley Fire Fighters!

A Big Thank you to Dudley Fire Fighters for making our afternoon so special. Residents had the opportunity to share stories with the fire fighters, reminiscing over warm drinks and cake & hearing their stories & learned about the equipment on the fire engine.

Students & Residents Enjoy Time Together

Another brilliant session with students from Dudley College. The students made valentine cards & wooden love hearts with residents, they also decorated gingerbread biscuits. The students gave hand manicures to residents & joined in with board games & a good old sing-along, it was a fabulous afternoon!

Church service with friends from America

Earlier this month Rev Sarah Carwardine from Top Church brought some special guests with her from America to join us for our holy communion service. We all joined in singing hymns & got to know each other it was a special service we hope they visit us again soon.

Sticky Fingers at Baking Club!

Baking Club is popular, the residents had great fun making jam & lemon tarts. A resident said I fully enjoyed making the pastry for the tarts getting my fingers dirty reminded me when I baked with my mom many years ago.
