Activities at Bedewell Grange Care Home

Residents of Bedewell Grange came together as they recently welcomed Lindsey from Henpower for a ‘masterclass’ in art, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The theme of the class was ‘Memories of the seaside’.

As the conversation flowed of their favourite beaches, to those delicious ice-creams and walks along the promenade, our ladies took great care with their drawings creating beautiful watercolour masterpieces for display within the home. Everyone concentrated to make sure all the details were right, before using watercolour paints to bring them to life. Beautiful work! 

Congratulations to Domestic Assistant, Carole Anne Smith, who recently celebrated her 10th year working for Barchester.

We recently hosted a watercolour art session with the help of Hen Power, and were joined by ITV Tyne Tees, who came in to film the activity.

We have pledged to follow the '10 Dos' to ensure Dignity in Care:

Congratulations to Paul Nellist, Head Chef at the home, for 10 years of service at Bedewell Grange. He was presented with his long service award by Acting General Manager, Theresa Chapman.
