Activities at Atfield House Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Our Stylish New Look!

As part of an ongoing refurbishment project here at Atfield House, we have recently had a a new café lounge installed and a new shower room in our Memory Lane community.

This programme includes the refurbishment of the existing lounge on the ground floor at the entrance of the home to make a café lounge (as seen in the pictures), the building of 3 new bedrooms on the Memory Lane Unit, which will all have en-suite shower rooms; the opening of an activities room and a lifestyle kitchen in Memory Lane, with a brand new, even bigger TV; and the redecoration of all the communal areas in Memory Lane.

A new hairdressing salon has been opened, the main dining room will be extended and a balcony, which will be accessible from the first floor lounge, will be built on top of this. 2 bathrooms will be renovated and a new lounge will be built to adjoin the ground floor unit.

Finally, the disabled toilet and visitor's toilet are being renovated and all communal areas will have their lighting upgraded.

Preparing for the Queen's Birthday

Preparing for the Queen's Birthday

Here at Atfield House, residents are getting busy preparing to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. In a very patriotic move, they've decided to decorate a Union Jack with lots of pictures of Her Majesty. It looks like they had a lot of fun!
