Activities at Ashchurch View Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Christmas Creativity

We've been getting creative at Ashchurch View that past few days making beautiful table decorations for our dining rooms as well as decorations for the trees.  Residents also greatly enjoyed celebration National Gingerbread House Day by making some decorative and tasty houses!  Craft sessions are always sociable and the end results look beautiful on display.

Carol Service From St Nicolas Church Choir

This afternoon we welcomed the choir from St Nicholas Church in Ashchurch who were also accompanied by the Roses Choir as they sang a wonderful selection of Christmas carols. Many residents and staff joined in well-known carols including "O'Little Town of Bethlehem" and also listened to readings.

The choir then enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies in the Ashchurch View cafe area. Thank you so much to the many choir members who gave their time to sing for the residents.

Alderman Knight School Sing for Residents

Ashchurch View had the absolute pleasure of welcoming children from Alderman Knight School to sing and meet the residents. The children sang classic Christmas songs including a real favourite Jingle Bells as well as new songs that will be part of the children's Christmas show. The residents absolutely loved having the children come in, thank you so much for bringing lots of smiles, we look forward to the next visit.
