Activities at Ashchurch View Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Christmas Decorations
Staff and residents together decorated the trees and home with Christmas decorations. Everyone was very pleased with the final outcome and is looking forward to Christmas.
Christmas Card Making
Residents enjoyed making Christmas cards during the festive season. They love being creative and making cards for family and friends. They were thrilled with the final outcome. It's great for them to remain creative and to practice their hand-eye coordination.
Games Afternoon
Residents enjoyed a trip out to a local club, where they got to participate in several games of skittles and dominoes.
Fire Safety Lesson
We were joined by a local fire fighter from Tewkesbury, who gave residents some advice on fire safety.
Musical Movement
Residents can be seen above enjoying an activity called 'Musical Movements', where they can keep fit whilst having fun.
Rememberance Day
We spent 3 arts & crafts sessions making a giant poppy from different materials in recognition of Remembrance Day. Residents were thrilled with the final outcome!
We were also joined by performer, Phoebe Applerly; she sang various wartime songs and even dressed up for the occasion. Residents had a wonderful time singing along.
