Activities at The Wingfield Care Home

Here at The Wingfield our activities team provide a varied and interesting range of activities for all residents. We are registered with the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and we take pride in delivering activities that will enhance residents lives and bring happiness and a sense of purpose. Our cooking activities are very popular, as well as the regular book clubs, coffee mornings, skittle matches and bus trips. We provide one to one support for those who are unable to attend activities and we have tea dances, musicians, quizzes, music and movement, as well as our giant scrabble board! But most importantly we have fun! Relatives are always welcome and there is always much laughter and smiling faces during our activities. We take pride in what we do and we continually strive to enhance residents lives through meaningful activity.

Merry Christmas from The Wingfield

Merry Christmas from everyone at the Wingfield.

Today residents enjoyed a visit from Santa who popped in to deliver their presents. After they enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner some of them appreciated some beautiful music from a cello player and a pianist who played some traditional carols.

Supporting Key workers

Supporting key workers is something that we love to do at The Wingfield Care Home - Barchester Healthcare.

Our local Postal workers picked up a fresh coffee whilst they dropped in with our mail.

Key workers are always welcome to pop by, say hello and take a hot coffee and some cake away.

Anyone for a game of Bowls

Anyone for a game of Bowls?

As part of our ongoing commitment to "Celebrating life" and "Life enrichment" The Wingfield are constantly looking at ways in which we can improve the lives of our amazing residents and find ways in which can support local people in the community.

With that in mind, we are super excited to announce that we are starting our very own Short mat bowls club that will operate from our home.

Initially we plan to set up the club as a bit of fun and somewhere for our residents to play a game of non competitive bowls with local people from the community.

Would you like to know more about our short mat bowls club? We would welcome members of the community to join and help with some of the day to day running.

we will always have lots of yummy cake and various beverages from tea and coffee to wine and beer.
