Activities at The Wingfield Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Here at The Wingfield our activities team provide a varied and interesting range of activities for all residents. We are registered with the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and we take pride in delivering activities that will enhance residents lives and bring happiness and a sense of purpose. Our cooking activities are very popular, as well as the regular book clubs, coffee mornings, skittle matches and bus trips. We provide one to one support for those who are unable to attend activities and we have tea dances, musicians, quizzes, music and movement, as well as our giant scrabble board! But most importantly we have fun! Relatives are always welcome and there is always much laughter and smiling faces during our activities. We take pride in what we do and we continually strive to enhance residents lives through meaningful activity.

Fantastically Festive Fete!
It was a fantastic festive weekend at The Wingfield with our Christmas Fete. We had a very special visitor who listened to the children's Christmas wishes and gave them an early gift. There was a great variety of stalls and we even got Father Christmas to draw the raffle - he had a very busy afternoon!
Christmas Creativity
Over the past week we’ve been getting creative at The Wingfield making Christmas cards and decorations. The residents also became elves as they did a sterling job helping to get ready for The Wingfield's Christmas Fete this Saturday!
Craft sessions are always sociable and the end results look beautiful on display.
Deck the Halls....
What a lovely day we had today putting up the Christmas decorations all around The Wingfield. The residents so enjoyed decorating the trees and it really did get us all in the Christmas spirit! Mair has done a fantastic job decorating our big tree with Chloe.
Today is the start of The Wingfield’s Countdown to Christmas and we are so looking forward to the festivities.
Singing and Dancing are Good for the Soul
The Wingfield residents had a wonderful time singing and dancing along to Shannon Kitchen. Shannon is fantastic with our residents so not only does everyone enjoy her beautiful voice and repertoire they love to see her for a catch up too.
We are delighted Shannon will be our performer for our Christmas party on Thursday 21st December for more singing and dancing!
Donations for Bath Cats and Dogs Home
The Wingfield were delighted to visit Bath Cats and Dogs home to drop off the donations of food and blankets we have collected at the home. Thank you for such warm welcome and bringing out the gorgeous Poppy one of their current rescue dogs. Thank you to everyone who donated for this amazing charity.
On our return journey we called into Farleigh Road Farm Shop & Café for tea and cake!
Trowbridge Fire Fighters Visit
Thank you so much to Trowbridge Fire Station for visiting The Wingfield today. Residents greatly enjoyed meeting these local fire fighters who took time to talk about their work as well as talking about fire safety. We are very grateful for the work you do keeping our community in Trowbridge and the surrounding villages safe.
