Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:
Hi, my name is Peter, and I am the General Manager here at The Wingfield. Welcome to our website!
I have had the pleasure of working in the care sector for more years than I care to admit, and I have managed 3 different services with three different providers in this time.
I am proud to be able to boast that I have always left a home in better shape than before joining. I believe in having a strong foundation and think anything can be accomplished by a strong team.
I am married (second time around) and have 6 children; two from my first marriage and four that I inherited with my second marriage. I have varied interests, from listening to classical music to watching Formula One, and much more.
I Started my Nursing career after graduating from University in 1995. After spending Nearly 20 years’ in the care of the elderly and dementia. I worked as an Emergency Nurse, and am experienced in intensive care and medical surgical procedures overseas. I Joined Barchester in December 2019. For me there is a complete sense of fulfilment and joy on my part when I see residents and their families happy with the care they’ve received.
Hi, I am Michele and I am the Administrator here at Wingfield. I run the admin office and have been working here since May 2018. My door is always open!
I am a Head of Unit here at Wingfield. I am passionate about the care we provide here and have always felt passionate about working with the elderly. I take pride in the fact that I am a Dementia Friend and therefore I can spread my knowledge to friends, colleagues and those in the community.
I started working for Barchester in 2004 as a senior carer at Wingfield. I worked my way up through the company with all the great programs and training they offer. I worked at a few homes within the company. I then joined back at the Wingfield care team where i consider this home. I am happy being back here where my journey began.
I graduated in 1993 as a general Nurse. I worked in a county hospital Psychiatric ward. I completed my post graduate training in 1997 as a psychiatric nurse. Then obtained a nursing diploma in 2004. We moved to the UK in 2008 where i worked in various care homes around the country as followed my husband for his work. We settled in Wiltshire and I joined Barchester in 2019. I started my role as Unit Manager in February 2020. I am passionate about my role. My residents comfort and well being is always my priority.
Hi, my name is Kei and I’m the Activities Coordinator here at The Wingfield. My role is to provide stimulating and motivational activities for residents. Getting to know those we support and creating tailored activities programmes for them is extremely rewarding. We focus on maximising everyone’s well being, independence and social engagement, as well as providing varied activities to suit all.
I have over 35 years of catering knowledge. I learnt my craft in the RAF cooking for any number of personnel, from 4 to over 2000 all around the world in kitchens, tents and aircraft and once in a submarine. Since leaving the armed forces, I have gained further experience in many catering roles and arenas before landing (RAF reference there) at The Wingfield at the beginning of 2018.
I very much enjoy leading the catering team here in providing an excellent food service to our residents and visitors, from breakfast through to high tea. Residents, their families and visitors all especially enjoy the varied homemade cakes on offer daily, which is very gratifying to me, as I am passionate about baking.
Hi, my name is Tracey Page, I have been working for Barchester now for 3 years and was the Head of Housekeeping, I was very hands on alongside the maintenance team and enjoyed doing particular tasks, so when I was approached by my manager to be the Head of Maintenance I jumped at the chance. I started my role on the 24th June and I wish to continue to improve the home for the future.
I have recently just started at The Wingfield. I worked here 9 years ago as a Hostess and Admin Assistant and now I am back as Head Housekeeper. I was Head Housekeeper for another care home previously and I also ran my own cleaning company.
I strive to keep improving the standards and making the home a clean and presentable place to live, work and visit for all.
