Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home

The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.

Music with Matt Jones

As usual, we had a great afternoon with our lovely Matt Jones. We all sang and danced along with him and played instruments and got really involved. Thanks, Matt, for a wonderful afternoon - we look forward to seeing you soon!

Our Trip to Junior School

Our Trip to Junior School

We were lucky enough to get an invite to our local junior school in Stamford Bridge to watch the year 6 school play. They were performing Aladdin and it was an absolute pleasure to watch them; they did really well and managed to keep us all entertained. It was lovely to see how much residents got from this and we look forward to supporting the school again.

A massive thank you to Stamford Bridge School for inviting us and we wish the year 6 pupils good luck in secondary school.

Chairobics with Mark

Chairobics with Mark

We enjoyed a fantastic morning with Mark, who hosts an exercise session here at Stamford Bridge. We spent time doing exercise to music, which was really fun. Even though resident, David, had a poorly foot, he still wanted to get involved, so he asked if he could borrow the Activities Coordinator's foot to do the exercise, which she didn't mind at all.

Summer Fair at Stamford Bridge

On Saturday 24th June, we held our summer fair here at the home. We had lots of things going on throughout the day such as activities for the children to take part in, our own stall which showcased cakes from our chef Dawn (which were fabulous as per usual!) plus stalls from out of the home. We also had our own sweet stall and tombola, where prizes were donated by staff and relatives - thank you to all who donated, we really appreciate it! Overall we made over £200 towards our residents fund! I would like to also thank all the staff, relatives and volunteers for helping and for making it such a lovely day!
