Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.
Wendy Allan
Wendy joined the Family in 2005, and is one of our long standing employees in the home.
Wendy has worked across several departments including Housekeeping and as a Carer, but decided to join the Activities team in 2015. Wendy thrives off making others happy. She loves supporting the residents and Families and putting on fun filled activities them all to enjoy.
In her spare time, Wendy loves being outdoors and walking, and spending time with her Grandchildren

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
Exotic Animals
We had a lovely visit from Acomb Pets, who brought some little visitors with them. Residents enjoyed having a hold of some unusual creatures and learned some interesting facts about them as well.
Exercise with Mark
We really enjoy our sessions with Mark; he really gets the residents involved in light exercise and movement.
Arts & Crafts - September
We really enjoyed our arts and crafts session recently; Libby did our session and had residents making funny face pictures, which they really enjoyed doing. They had a good laugh and chatted between themselves during the activity.
Ruth Entertains
We had a lovely music session with Ruth Strangeway – she really gets us all involved with the singing and light exercise.
Singing with Matt Jones
We had a brilliant afternoon with Matt Jones recently; Matt has really grown with confidence and we really enjoy him coming to sing for us. We had a fantastic time time dancing away and had lots of fun.
Garden Party
We had a wonderful afternoon on Saturday 29th July; we hosted our annual garden party and invited residents, loved ones, friends and people from the local community. The White Star band played for us and we had an ice cream van pay us a visit.
Everyone really enjoyed the entertainment and refreshments, and the weather was absolutely fantastic, which was an added bonus.
A massive thank you to everyone who helped the staff here at the Beaumont and who helped to make it a very enjoyable day, especially for residents. Also, a big thank you to everyone who supported us - and also to the band and the ice cream van!

Come along and join our Dementia Café on the last Thursday of each month.
