Activities at Rose Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

My role is to engage and stimulate our residents by offering a range of activities for them to enjoy. I want to get everyone involved and make our home community and atmosphere as positive and welcoming as possible.
Making sure that our residents have things to do that they really enjoy doing is something that I am passionate about, It is so important to make sure that they are happy and enjoy all of the activities and events that we do with them. We enjoy creating new and special memories together.

Exercise Fun
We were thrilled to have JG Fitness return to our home for another enjoyable exercise session that brought our residents together.
These regular sessions are beneficial for our mind, body, and soul.
This week, we incorporated bands into our exercises and are eagerly anticipating our next session.

Fraud and Scam's Seminar
We were delighted to welcome, Charlotte and Shannan from the local branch of Yorkshire Building Society in Wisbech and David a cyber-crime specialist with Cambridgeshire police, who held a workshop to sharing key tips on how to avoid common financial scams and fraud. A topical issue that often affects the elderly, the experts demonstrated how to recognise a scam, and the correct way to respond and report them.
The talk discussed how scams are disguised, and can occur in person, by phone, by post, by email, and even through social media. Guests shared their own scamming experiences and recovery strategies
Following the workshop, our experts were on hand to then take and answer further questions from the audience.

The Wallace Collection
Residents across our services had a lovely time joining Emily and Marie-Therese from the Wallace Collection, for a virtual introduction to Reubens' Rainbow Landscape.
Residents truly enjoyed the sensory walk through one of the museum’s most famous landscape paintings.
Everyone who joined had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to put their creative skills to the test by painting some landscapes of our their in the coming days!

Coffee with a Coppa
Residents and members of the community were delighted to welcome PCSO Smith and PC Coaker from the local police force to join us at the home for their ‘Coffee with a Coppa’ event.
PCSO Smith and PC Coaker spoke to the audience about their own career paths, why they wished to join the force and spoke to the group about the latest goings on from within the town, before taking questions from the audience.
We were also delighted to welcome Paula and Marion from the local U3A Wisbech branch who joined us for our special community event.

Halloween Fun
Our home transformed into a hub of eerie festivities as the Halloween party reached its peak. Residents and staff embraced the holiday spirit, donning a variety of stunning costumes for our spectacular Halloween celebration.
We were thrilled to have our beloved entertainers, KJ & The Catt, return for an incredible musical performance featuring hits like 'Monster Mash,' which had our residents, their families, and our staff dancing throughout the morning.

Nursery Visit
We were delighted to welcome back the little ones from our local nursery at Emneth.
We enjoyed the morning and thrilled the children and residents alike with a magic aqua painting activity. Our residents also engaged with the little ones and we also created a collection of autumn leaf patterns.
After we finished our designs we all enjoyed some refreshments along with some lovely cakes made by our head chef.
This particular visit was poignant for Elizabeth who reminisced about her time as a kindergarten teacher.
