Hello, I am Ceri, and I am very proud to be the General Manager of Hickathrift House. Welcome to our website!
I have been with Hickathrift House since 2009. I started as a Carer and was promoted to Senior Carer shortly after and, before long, I had worked my way up to Unit Manager. I was then appointed as the Deputy Manager in 2014, prior to becoming the General Manager in April 2018. During my time here, I have worked hard to gain an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health & Social Care and I achieved my Level 5 in Leadership & Management in October 2018.
I strive to enhance and improve the lives of those we support by delivering person-centered and high quality care to residents. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is meeting and getting to know each resident and their loved ones. By spending time with residents and having an 'open door' policy, I hope that each of them and their loved ones can feel like part of the Hickathrift family.
What makes Hickathrift so special is the dedicated staff, as they make the home what it is: warm, full of character and filled with happiness.
I look forward to welcoming you into our home – the kettle is always on!
