Activities at Oxford Beaumont Care Community

Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events that cater to all tastes, which includes minibus outings to nearby places of interest and visits from animal trusts, local school choirs, musicians and entertainers. We also undertake one-to-one activities for residents who are unable to participate in group sessions, and encourage loved ones to join in whenever they can.

‘We’re off to see the Wizard"

This week for national storytelling week our staff and residents have been having fun preparing for a performance of The Wizard of Oz!

During the week our activities consisted of designing and building props, rehearsing lines and songs as well as reminiscing our own experiences from being on the stage.

The final show was performed in our lounge in front of fellow peers, and was topped off with a glass of Sherry!

‘There's really no place like Oxford Beaumont!’

The Year of the Tiger

Here at Oxford Beaumont we celebrated the Chinese New Year by embracing culture, senses and creativity. The day involved designing paper lanterns, discussing the origins of the Chinese New Year, reading our Zodiac signs and discovering what the year of the tiger entails for us- a year of resilience and strength!

Staff and residents were also treated with a delicious Chinese inspired dish for lunch prepared by our wonderful kitchen team.

Live Music from Tristan

Live music yesterday with Tristan Pate. Residents at Oxford Beaumont had a fun afternoon yesterday listening and singing along to old favourite tunes!

It was lovely to welcome Tristan back into the home after a long two years with some of the residents even remembering him from back then! It was a wonderful reunion. We certainly kept Tristan on his toes yesterday with song suggestions going all the way back to the early 1900s and mixing it up with some more modern tunes… from the Beatles!
