Our Team

The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.

Mandy Vettraino

Senior General Manager

Hi, my name is Mandy Vettraino and I am the Senior General Manager here at Middletown Grange. Welcome to our website!

My career in nursing started as a Carer, where I worked my way up the ladder, eventually becoming a General Manager. Since 2000, I have managed 4 homes in Oxford, supporting elderly residents with nursing and dementia care.

I like to be involved with the residents and their families here at Middletown Grange; it is a home for every one and high quality care with a holistic approach is essential. In 2013, I was presented with a Dignity in Care Award from Age UK. My team here at Middletown are champions! Ensuring that residents retain their dignity and as much independence as possible, along with providing top quality care, is always a priority.

Alison Perez

Deputy Manager

I began my career in the care sector as a care assistant. Once I qualified as a registered nurse (adult trained), I worked as a surgical nurse, critical care nurse, senior staff nurse and the a sister for 4 years within the private sector.

Whilst working in these positions, my interest and appreciation for older people became apparent, and I became passionate about supporting them in any way I could.

I joined Barchester in 2018 as a Unit Manager on a Memory Lane community at one of our sister homes, and I am very proud to say that I am now the Deputy Manager here at Middletown Grange.

This home has a wonderful, caring and fulfilling atmosphere. Happiness is not a goal, it’s a by-product of a life lived well, and my aim is to ensure that both residents and staff alike feel this way too.

My name is Lauren Walker and I joined Middletown Grange as an Activities Coordinator in 2018 after working as a domiciliary carer for two years. I feel very privileged to have such a rewarding job and I am inspired by listening to residents' life stories. After studying Event Management at university, I am really looking forward to using my skills and knowledge within the care home.

Becca Huxtable

Activities Coordinator

I have worked as an Activities Coordinator since 2017 here at Middletown. I find this role to be exciting, fun and challenging in a different way each day. I find when working in activities, you not only have to be a member of staff, but also a friend, a supportive and caring person, and help to bring the individuality out of every single person to give them the most meaningful experience you can. I’ll always have a smile or a joke to crack and I’m a little bit mad, which I think is a special skill required for the job.

Kate Day

I have worked as a nurse for over 30 years, mainly in the primary healthcare sector, however, I was a practice nurse for 8 years and Clinical Director for a private healthcare company for 12 years. I have a breadth of experience clinically, but I love to remain close to residents to ensure that their care is delivered to a safe, personalised and consistent standard.

Jag Aguinaldo

Care Practitioner

I started here at Middletown Grange as a Care Assistant in 2015, moving on to become a Senior carer, a Mentoring Lead and, most recently, a Care Practitioner, after finishing my training course, which allows me to lead as a nurse on the floor.

This training has meant taking on a lot more responsibility, but I thrive off it, finding it more of a challenge and a lot of fun as well. Leading a team that I have been a part for so long means we work well together and have a supportive and efficient environment, which is amazing.
