Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:
Hello, my name is Claire, and I am the General Manager here at Middletown Grange. Welcome to our website!
A large proportion of my nursing career has been spent as a nurse in various A&E departments. I have worked for Barchester since 2018, initially as a deputy manager in a previous home, and now as acting general manager here. I am passionate about delivering person-centered care to the residents of Middletown Grange.
It’s a pleasure to work with the fantastic team here who whole-heartedly embrace the whole home approach, where our overall goal is to ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care and attention.
I’d like to assure residents, relatives and visitors that my door is always open and I will always make time to have a chat with them. I look forward to welcoming you into our home.
I started here at Middletown Grange as a Care Assistant in 2015, moving on to become a Senior carer, a Mentoring Lead and a Care Practitioner after finishing my training course, which allowed me to lead as a nurse on the floor. In 2020, I was promoted to Deputy Manager.
Leading a team that I have been a part for so long means we work well together and have a supportive and efficient environment, which is amazing.
My name is Lauren Walker and I joined Middletown Grange as an Activities Coordinator in 2018 after working as a domiciliary carer for two years. I feel very privileged to have such a rewarding job and I am inspired by listening to residents' life stories. After studying Event Management at university, I am really looking forward to using my skills and knowledge within the care home.
I have been working in the catering industry for over 30 years and have been with Barchester since 2012. I am committed to providing delicious home-cooked food for residents, which we prepare in-house. I am also responsible for ensuring that residents' nutritional needs are met and that they enjoy everything they eat.
I’ve worked at Middletown Grange since 2013. I started as a Carer and became a Care Practitioner in 2018. I enjoy the new challenges this role brings to my job, and the team I work with here are fantastic and supportive.
Our housekeeping team consists of some long-term Barchester employees and some relatively new ones and, combined, they have over 20 years' experience. Louise, our Head Housekeeper is known as ‘Grandma’ to all members of staff and has been with Barchester since 2004. The team are always happy to assist with any queries and endeavour to keep the home clean and tidy at all times.
Becky and Reji
Becky started working for Barchester 18 months ago as a receptionist, she soon discovered that being on the front desk is a very different thing in a care home then to anywhere else. She is always there to comfort residents, support staff and to reassure family’s and visitors and truly is the face of Middletown grange.
Alongside Becky is Reji, who has worked in the care industry for 11 years, one of which being an activities coordinator. Reji has recently joined us at Middletown grange but hit the ground running and loves working in the team.
Jadwiga and Darius
Jadwiga and Darius are our kitchen team, and support our head chef Toby. They have been working for Barchester for a combined 13 years, with Jad starting in December 2009. Both come from Poland and are part of a strong polish community within the home which stretches from kitchen to care and even housekeeping. They dedicate themselves to the residents and provide support to other members of any department.
